Red is the colour most commonly associated with anger. But it’s also a colour associated with confidence, passion and personal appeal.If you feel like you’re lacking in self-worth or that you want to project a more commanding presence, bright or dark red are both appropriate.

Obviously red ruby gemstones are ideal, but if you prefer more affordable options you can look at bright red rubelite. Tiger’s Eye gemstone is a great choice f you want to wear orange jewellery because this gemstone has bands of orange, yellow. The stone is also believed to have “grounding” properties that will nudge you towards making more practical decisions in life. Other orange gemstones include Amber, Fire Opals, the bright orange Mandarin Garnet.

Although yellow is commonly viewed as a happy colour, some studies suggest that yellow can push the anxiety buttons in your brain.

Pale yellow, on the other hand, evokes friendliness and youthfulness, which is useful if you want to lift the mood or create a happy atmosphere at your office or in your home.

Purple has long been associated with luxury and royalty, because only the very rich could afford very expensive purple dyes and fabrics.

Dark, rich purples also evoke sensual feelings and a sense of mystery, so this colour is good when you when you want to make a lasting impression on a date, or at a networking event.

If you’re feeling a bit overlooked in life, wearing black jewellery can make you feel like a stronger and more sophisticated version of yourself.  Shiny black stones can also add much-needed sparkle to black, and keep that lively feeling going.
