According to a recent poll aired on the Mother & Baby website well over half of pollsters said they'd find out the sex of their baby. 63 per cent said junior's sex would be uncovered before B-day. Only two per cent of mums weren't sure what they'd do while the remainder decided to keep the sex a mystery.

They are some non-scientific ways to find out if you're having a boy or a girl but many of them are old wives tales that have become immersed in our everyday lives, especially here in Asia.

One of them looks at the shape of your bump and suggests that a round, ball-like baby bump means there’s a baby boy in your future, while a wider bump that kinda looks like you’re carrying all over the place is a surefire girl.
