The year has flown past and there is so much to look back on, so let your hair down and mark the last week of the year by spending time with the people we love the most. Take your pick at the various film screenings that are happening around the island and transport the family into familiar scenes of the festive season. Not much of a film-buff? Bet the little ones would enjoy kid-friendly workshops such as face-painting at the Skechers Sundown Fringe event or say hi to Santa Pororo at Marina Square.
Recreate a snowy Christmas at Science Centre Singapore’s Sci-Sational Christmas Adventure
Taking the kids on a Journey to Science Centre’s ‘Snow Academy’ is a bunch of mischievous elves on an icy adventure. The little ones will be entertained by mini ‘Show & Tell’ and various scientifically curated Christmas activity stations that focus on the wonderful science of ice. Catch an outdoor movie at the Skechers Sundown Festival - Fringe Events
After a two-year hiatus, the Skechers Sundown Live Countdown party is finally back in town. This year, the fringe events will be pet and family-friendly. Expect film screenings, face painting for children, scratch art, a food village and even massages for charity which will be offered by members of the Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped.
Parents and pawrents alike will have the chance to spend the last day of 2022 out by the sea before festivities turn to ushering the new year in through a celebration of Asian music by Asian artists.
In a first for music festivals in Asia, Chang Beer, in collaboration with NFTWorks, will be introducing NFTs as an element of the Sundown Festival franchise in 2023. A special NFT campaign for the Sundown Festival franchise will be revealed at the SKECHERS Sundown Live Countdown Party on 31 December.

In collaboration with Marina Bay Alliance, this two-day lifestyle event is specially curated for families to welcome the new year together. At the grassy field outside Downtown MRT, a series of entertainment featuring larger-than-life games, F&B stalls and live performances will be set-up for families to enjoy the space from sun-up to sun-down.
If you’re looking to catch the fireworks during the countdown be prepared to camp out a couple hours earlier and for the best experience bring a picnic mat and some additional snacks!

Challenge the family to a movie marathon at the Art Science Museum
Deck the cinema halls this festive season with 12 genres of Christmas films at the Art Science Museum. From musicals to horror to animation to comedy, take a deep dive into the movies that make Christmas the most wonderful time of the year. Take the opportunity to introduce the little ones to Christmas classics including The Nightmare Before Christmas or Home Alone.

Shoppers, families and Disney fans can celebrate the festive season with specially curated Disney-inspired displays until 31 December 2022, featuring character installations offering exciting photo opportunities for fans of Disney’s beloved characters and brands Catch a life-sized Iron Man figure at Funan and two separate installations of Frozen’s Elsa in JCube and Bedok Mall.
Marvel fans would be delighted to know that a special light tunnel will be available at Plaza Singapura with a display of Thor, the God of Thunder! A replica of his fellow avenger, The Incredible Hulk will be stationed at Bugis Town (Bugis Junction and Bugis+) so that no fan of the Marvel cinematic universe would be left behind.
For Pixar enthusiasts, a special Cars setup will be found at Westgate, while statues of the characters from Toy Story will make a special appearance at Junction 8 and SingPost Centre to excite the young and young at heart!

Celebrate the festive season with the adorable Pororo, fans of the popular animated series would be delighted to know that Pororo is suited up for Christmas and will meet any of his young fans at the fun playspace in Marina Square. Besides playing hide and seek or taking pictures at a pretend-play Pororo house. There will be obstacle courses and the Pororo Express train for the little ones to get more interactive. Just for the year-end holidays, there will be an appearance by Santa Pororo and a Snow Globe Making workshop.
