The December school holidays are usually jam-packed with enrichment activities or educational camps to prevent any lost learning in students but the real challenge is keeping everyone in the family entertained this festive season. From an over-the-top Christmas parade at Universal Studios Singapore to interacting with dolphins at the S.E.A Aquarium there is something for everyone.
The most anticipated event of the year in Singapore is back at Gardens by the Bay where the iconic landmark turns into a winter wonderland with the help of magnificent light displays and faux snow. Besides posing along to the many Christmas lights the family can explore Mistletoe Alley for an eclectic selection of gifts, old-school photo booths and festive merchandise.

Pick up magic tricks at Science Centre Singapore’s Year-End Holiday Programme - Science of Magic
Uncover the next houdini in your family with this novel year-end holiday programme where the kids can learn the secrets behind magic tricks using science. A great gateway to piquing their interest in the subject is through the role of elements and materials in making illusions seem real. A drop-off workshop for children aged 5-8, held on two separate days.

Explore the flora and fauna of Southeast Asia at the Botanical Art Exhibition
Unknown to many, similar tropics may not always consist of the same vegetation and this one-of-a-kind juried botanical art exhibition is here to teach us all about that. Featuring a total of 120 works of native plants of Southeast Asia, the botanic artworks are open to visitors who are interested in plant diversity in Southeast Asia. To get the little ones more involved, there is a line-up of watercolour workshops and a huge botanical themed playground for free-roaming.

Experience a winter wonderland on our sunny island, exclusively at The Great Fantasy on Ice. The 2,400 sqm winter playground will be coming to the Bayfront event space for a month where visitors will get to enjoy the chilly winds without ever boarding a flight.
Enjoy a whole plethora of winter activities such as building a snowman or sliding down an icy slope. To top off the whole experience, snow-making machines will be working to pump out fluffy white snow so that guests can enjoy daily snowfalls and take unforgettable pictures.

Who needs some retail therapy? I know I do! The Christmas Atelier Market is the brain-child of The Floral Atelier, a local florist that transforms into a magical festive wonderland forming the perfect retail experience for the festive season.
