By Karen Fong and Belle Neo -
It feels like Bintan is experiencing something of a resurgence. The resort-focused island, where Singaporeans have been escaping to for short holidays for decades, is seeing new developments and hotels sprouting up, offering more than just a little beach time and a villa. There are also lots of activities — eco or otherwise — to enjoy on the island and make use of its expansive space.
But of course, for parents, there are specific things we look for in a hotel, ranging from room amenities to activities suitable for toddlers to ‘tweens. And luckily, many Bintan resorts are more than happy to deliver.
Here we list 11 of the best Bintan resorts and hotels for families that make travelling to the island a breeze and make the experience an unforgettable adventure for everyone.

Their rooms range from standard stays to beachside villas featuring private pools, and while the resort is sprawling, there are buggies and bicycles available to take you everywhere.
Dining options include Rimbun down by the beach where kids can play in the sand while you feast on freshly grilled seafood and meats, or the Pool Bar at the hotel’s infinity pool which is great for pizza and bites while taking a break from a swim. The Kakatu Kids Club as well as the Earth Basket, the resort’s organic garden, are perfect for kids to burn energy at the accompanying playground or to learn about caring for fish, rabbits and chickens. The beach is easy to access for kids with marine tidal walks taking place when the tide is out. For days when the weather is bad, kids can enjoy the in-room set-up of tents, colouring pencils and snacks to keep them entertained.
