The Sheep Sanctuary

Costing just a cool $2 for kids and $3.45 for adults, The Sheep Sanctuary in Cameron Highlands is an affordable and baa-rilliant afternoon activity for the entire family. Here, you can pat, touch, and even feed these fluffy bundles of joy. The entrance fee comes with a packet of animal feed!

I’d recommend you to book your tickets beforehand on Klook, because you’ll get to skip the long queue at the entrance booth.

All in all, we spent around an hour here. We also may or may not have stepped on some poop.

Pasar Pagi Kea Farm Market

Located directly opposite The Sheep Sanctuary is a bustling farmer's market, with displays overflowing with local produce, desserts, teas, and of course, the star of Cameron Highlands – juicy strawberries.

We stumbled upon this market and were instantly charmed by the colourful stalls. We couldn't resist indulging in a delightful strawberry and chocolate cake in a cup — a perfect treat after cuddling with the sheep.

Mossy forest

Nestled in the cool embrace of Cameron Highlands' mountains, the Mossy Forest unfolds like a captivating natural wonderland.

During our hike, we even got to spot a Rafflesia flower (which takes nine months to mature and blooms for only four or five days).

To make the most of your visit and learn more about the Mossy Forest, we recommend that you join a guided tour.

Here's a value-for-money deal we found: Klook's Cameron Highlands and Mossy Forest Half Day Tour

The Agro Market in Cameron Highlands isn't your typical pasar pagi or pasar malam experience — it's the one-stop place for checking out local produce, shopping, dining, leisure activities and more. It also boasts ample free parking, making it easy to come and explore at your own pace, especially if you're driving.

Here, you can snap pictures against a replica of Santorini, the famous Greek island with its whitewashed buildings and blue domes. It might not be the real deal, but it sure makes for a fun photo op.

BOH Tea plantation

The BOH story began in 1929, when a British businessman named J.A. Russell planted the first tea seeds on these very slopes. Today, BOH is the largest black tea manufacturer in Malaysia, and a visit to the plantation allows you to step back in time and learn about this fascinating history.

Several BOH Tea Plantations are scattered across Cameron Highlands (so find the plantation most convenient for you!), with the BOH Tea Centre Habu being the oldest and most prominent.

There, you can embark on a guided tour and witness the entire tea-making process firsthand, from plucking the leaves to the final packaging.

After your exploration, indulge in a delightful afternoon tea experience at the BOH cafe. Sample a variety of BOH teas, perhaps accompanied by scones or other treats.

Pasar Malam Cameron Highlands

The Cameron Highlands Night Market offers a classic Malaysian Pasar Malam experience with a refreshing difference.

Here, you'll find a variety of Cameron Highlands specialties like delicious local cuisine, fresh strawberries and strawberry-infused treats, local vegetables, corn, and small souvenirs. It's a great place to grab take-away food for dinner, but be aware there's no seating available for eating on-site.

Pro tip: Sometimes vendors, especially cooked food ones, offer discounts towards the end of the night to clear out their stock.

If you’re driving, finding parking can be a challenge, especially after 6pm, so be prepared for traffic and consider arriving earlier. There are also no public restrooms within the market itself. If you need to use the restroom, you might need to use a nearby restaurant's facilities, which may require a small fee.
