Tomato School Christmas Cooking Camp

Another fun and useful skill to pick up at December school holiday camp is… cooking — especially if they learn how to make (edible) yummy food for your upcoming yuletide family feast. Enter Tomato School’s Christmas-themed holiday cooking camp: a five-day three-hour-a-day culinary programme for kids aged 5 to 14 who just want to have fun in the kitchen, and those who want to join MasterChef Junior.
Each day, campers will encounter a different international cuisine and learn to make some of their favourite traditional Christmas dishes. At their own personal cooking stations, each budding chef will be guided by an experienced adult chef to create delicious dishes that they will take home with them at the end of the day. Some of the delectable meals you can look forward to: Filled Yorkshire Puddings and Apple Crumble Trifle Cups from the UK, or Aromatic Pad Thai and Tapioca Pearls Pudding Cup from Thailand — not exactly Christmassy but definitely delightful.

Mind Theory AI, Roblox, Android Game Holiday Coding Camps
Type: Indoor, coding, tech, AI, art, Roblox, Android Games
Credit: Mind Theory
If your kid is more into computer games than physical games, Mind Theory might have just the thing for them. For ages 10 to 18, there’s the 5-Day Learn Roblox Studio Coding Camp or the 5-Day Android Game Coding Camp, depending on whether they prefer Roblox or Android games.
Using Roblox Studio, Roblox fans can learn how to build maps, design game mechanics, playtest their game, and finally publish it for all their friends to share and enjoy. Likewise, the Android Game Coding Camp will teach your child how to create their own Android game, from map creation to game mechanics design, character creation to playtesting their game, and finally publishing it on the App Store or an .exe file.
Campers will receive a 50+ page course manual, a certificate of completion and a testimonial, as well as guidance on how to compile their work for the game diploma course portfolio review, which Mind Theory assures will help graduating secondary school students secure placement at the tertiary level.
For kids aged 8 to 18, the AI Holiday Camp might be more appropriate if your child is an artsy creative who is interested in graphic and digital art creation. There they will be taught how to use Midjourney and Leonardo AI from the basics, learning how to produce the images they’re envisioning in their minds with the right prompts and parameters. During the camp, they will also interact with ChatGPT and learn how to use it for schoolwork and generating creative ideas — beats sitting at home and playing computer games for sure!

The Mindful Camp Holiday Camp

Since it has become apparent that mindfulness is not just a transient new-age fad but a life skill, kids can and should be exposed to the practice of mindfulness from an early age. This is what the Mindful Camp is all about — preparing our little ones to deal with the stress and rigours of life. Think art projects and nature exploration, deep-breathing and mindful relaxation, as well as group activities and games targeted at developing healthy social-emotional skills.

There is even a glamping add-on option for Camp Mountain campers which adds a Thursday night sleepover to the already exhilarating five-day camp. This time around, the Mindful Camp is offering two camp themes: Friendship (Theme A) and Life Skills (Theme B). Kids at the Friendship Theme camp can look forward to a carnival party, cooking and cafe simulation, a costume telematch and more, while kids at the Life Skills Theme camp will be equipped with essential life skills such as organising their belongings (Marie Kondo style) and mastering outdoor survival skills.
