Tinkerfest is the perfect event for kids looking to put their creativity to test as they explore the world of technology. This annual festival, organised by Science Centre Singapore, enables people of all ages to try their hand at creating magic using various materials and the power of science.

From creating a fluttering butterfly to a portal into a world where colours are constantly changing, many awe worthy experiences await participants of this festival.  Ending this week, Tinkerfest will be a memorable end to the past month of fun.

The Art of Fishkeeping @ Qian Hu Fish Farm

It is not everyday that you get to indulge in a calming day of fishing with your family. This event by Qian Hu Fish Farm  will let you enjoy a weekend of relaxation as you bond with your family over a few hours of fishing, carnival games, bouncy castles and a Fish Spa to rejuvenate your tired feet at the end of it all. This stress-relieving and therapeutic experience will set the tone right for the beginning of yet another school term.

If you are looking for activities to fill up the last weekend of June holidays, Nature Weekend is just the thing for you. Organised by Gardens by the Bay, this event comprises a series of exciting events, from a scavenger hunt for nature lovers to complimentary outdoor movie screenings for those looking to enjoy a relaxing evening.

Interested kids may even sign up to participate in the "Best Dressed" competition. It isn’t very often that we get to attend outdoor movies, that too ones held at the Supertrees.

Goodman Open House @ Goodman Arts Centre 2023

The annual Goodman Open House is once again here! Let the artist in you come alive with their workshops that range from writing sessions to creating your very hand-marbled coasters. Take a trip through the past to uncover traditional Singaporean ice cream flavours and redeem a free cup of ice cream upon successful completion of this self-guided trail. 

If you’re looking for something more interactive and exciting, take part in ice cream themed games like stacking ice cream scoops and throwing balls into cone-shaped hoops. For those obsessed with personality quizzes, you can even take a test to figure out which ice cream flavour best describes you!

Gallery Wellness Festival

Adding to National Gallery’s Children’s Biennale is the Gallery Wellness Festival that was newly launched over the weekend. Aiming to convey the significance of human connections and the need to be in tune with our own emotions, the festival consists of a series of art experiences, curated to engage all five senses, all tied together by this year’s theme "Art Connects".

Be introduced to the world of art and music therapy for a mental wellness session or alternatively, put your art skills to test by attempting a self portrait or attending a Floral Expression workshop. The wide variety of activities will keep you engaged while enabling you to unwind and have a good time.

iLight
