The long-awaited September holidays are finally here and as we approach spooky season, consider a round of Trick or Thrills at Universal Studios Singapore or indulge in the possibility of interplanetary travel at the Art Science Museum. Families who are looking to slow down over the weekend should visit the Mid-Autumn Festival lantern displays, where there are plenty of fringe activities to partake at your own pace accompanied by brilliant displays of traditional Chinese lanterns.
As part of Science Centre Singapore’s September Holiday Programme, the KidsSTOP Academy will host a series of fun and educational hands-on activities. Children will learn about science by following a trail of clues to uncover the mystery of Rex the dinosaur or analyse evidence in a case of a precious jewellery heist!

Visit a 10,000 square-feet-space indoor playground themed around South Korean animated series, Tayo The Little Bus. The indoor playground features attractions such as the Tayo’s Road Circuit, Poco’s Hinoki Play, and Gani’s Playground that are both edutainment areas and sensory play space for young children from 1 to 12 years old.

Nurture your child’s interest in basketball while learning the basics of the game, including call outs and terms. Besides being informative, your child will get to engage in a friendly basketball game with others. It is the perfect program for your kids to hone their skills in this team sport and who knows? Her hyperrealistic sculptures, in the form of mechanised animals, mutated human beings and uncanny creatures, celebrate a world teemed with the possibility of a multi-species ecosystem.
Interspersed with themes of art, science and technology, Piccinini’s strange new beings

Bucky In Space is a first-of-its-kind tabletop game that brings the architecture, art, science and design of space exploration in an immersive audio-visual-spatial learning experience.

Go for a lantern walk at the Gardens by the Bay, Mid-Autumn festival 2022
Adorned with larger-than-life lantern displays each year, the Gardens is set to outdo itself with exhibits inspired by Chinese folklore “Flight to the Phoenix”. The display which showcases hundreds of birds soaring towards the phoenix is a massive feat and the keynote of the lantern display event.
Not forgetting that there will be a whole variety of beautiful lantern displays that will light up in the evening and visitors can also enjoy a range of fringe activities during the weekends, live outdoor stage performances and a marketplace will also make a return this year, creating a vibrant atmosphere to celebrate the mid-autumn festivities!
From now till Sunday, 11 September 2022. 6pm to 10pm daily. (Light up from 7pm) Admission to the gardens are free, unless otherwise indicated for fringe activities.
