October is fast approaching and the island gears up for a highly-anticipated grand prix season. This week there's an exciting list of activities for you and your family to check out from F1 celebrations at Kampong Glam, to exploring the latest attractions on Sentosa, Stop by Glamboyant 2022 for 10-days of fringe activities, specially curated in anticipation of race day or head down to Sentosa for a newly opened beach carnival experience.
Head down to GLAMboyant for a weekend filled with trendy to-dos in anticipation of the return of Formula 1. The 10-day event will be filled with activities ranging from food to culture. Expect streetside live performances featuring contemporary and traditional art forms, outdoor cinema for blockbuster lovers and families and thematic precinct tours.
On the weekdays of 27 and 28 September, F1 and arcade aficionados can also look forward to a pop-up F1 truck with various games like Speed Up, Steady On and Stay On Track and race each other with a Racing Simulator.

Let your hair down this weekend at Sentosa with the newly-opened Central Beach Bazaar.
Conveniently located within a single location, the newest attraction on Sentosa holds a plethora of entertainment and dining experiences for families.
With eight vibrant street food concepts at International Food Street and a line-up of exhilarating simulation rides and carnival games, beach-goers can expect to immerse themselves in this unique day-to-night carnival. Celebrate the Merlion’s 50th Birthday with a light show and over-the-top milkshake
Singapore’s landmark statue is celebrating its Golden Jubilee and with all the fanfare it is only right that The Merlion be put on full display with a special light show, every night from now till October 2. If you’re feeling adventurous and would like to indulge in a sweet treat, there is nothing more excessive than a milkshake at Black Tap. Aptly named the Merli’s Golden Jubilee, the strawberry ripple shake is overfilled with vanilla frosting, rainbow marshmallow twists and cotton candy.
Lights will be on full-display from 6pm onwards everyday till 2 October 2022.
What can’t the Japanese do? First they invent instant ramen, which this writer cannot live without and now proper Cake-In-A-Can. The viral portable Japanese-style chiffon cake vending machine has finally landed on our sunny shores and recently opened on September 16.
Housed in a white and red vending machine, the 24-hour self-serve cake concept is filled with three different types of desserts. A shortcake can featuring the classic strawberry shortcake, Fuwa cans filled with crowd-favourites such as tiramisu and Egg Pudding Cans. Spark conversations on the role of technology in our lives with an exhibit
Hosted by the National Museum of Singapore, the Off/On: Everyday Technology that Changed Our Lives exhibit is a thematic exploration of the changing face of cutting-edge technology from the 1970s to 2000s. It is a great opportunity to let the little ones who grew up on Ipads understand the various forms that technological tools have taken on and ways in which it shaped the lives of Singaporeans. Through several themed installations and gamified experiences, the showcase is a blast to the past for the older folks and an eye-opener for the younger ones.
Off/On is a ticketed exhibit where Singaporeans and Singapore permanent residents can enjoy free admission. Exhibit ends 30 October 2022. National Museum of Singapore.
Spend a roaring good weekend with dinosaurs from Victoria, Australia. Curated in a thematic approach and presented with elements of creative storytelling, the kiddos will embark on an experiential journey to discover the makings and eventual extinction of the dinosaurs in 5 immersive zones. Interspersed with interactive exhibits and multimedia projection screenings, participants will be able to take pictures with animatronic dinosaurs and get their hands dirty just like a real-life Palaeontologist.

The much-anticipated Singapore Grand Prix 2022 is finally back after a 2 year hiatus, in celebration of its return, Singapore will be hosting a specially-created LEGO® replica of the sleek McLaren Formula 1 race car as it makes its first pit stop in Southeast Asia! Catch the life-sized model at the LEGO® Technic McLaren Formula 1TM Pop-Up Experience that’s made up of 288,315 LEGO bricks and measures 5.7 metres in length and 2.4 metres in width.
Visitors can also take part in various building activities as well as speed challenges, and stand a chance to take home a special gift with purchase. Fans of the youngest ever British Formula 1 Driver Lando Norris, can also catch the man himself on 28 September as he makes an appearance at the pop up!
