Bali is a beautiful haven of wellness and nature, but its popularity has made traffic one of the most frustrating things about visiting the island. When you have young kids, making a trek out to Canggu or Ubud can be stressful, and usually involves a good two or three hours in the car.

Instead of North, consider heading South, where the areas of Nusa Dua, Jimbaran and Uluwatu offer lush scenery, great restaurants and a much shorter airport trek. Nusa Dua is known as a conference town, a lot of the hotels built in the area were designed to accommodate events and host conferences. Having said that, it also means the area is a great stay for families, with hotels offering a range of activities and facilities all ages will love, from expansive swimming pools to great kids’ clubs.
