Babies born in 2025 will get a package of 10 gifts to mark Singapore’s 60th birthday, along with a letter from Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.

The SG60 Baby Gift will include a trolley bag, toys, a limited edition plushie and a parenting journal.

All Singaporean babies born between Jan 1 and Dec 31 will be eligible. Parents will need to complete the birth registration of their child before registering for the gift at go.gov.sg/SG60BabyGift.

Registration opens on Feb 28 and closes a year later.

1. SG60 family photobook

Parents will get a photobook with SG60-themed designs, featuring fun backgrounds and stickers of local flora and fauna, to commemorate family moments.

2. Wooden building blocks

The SG60-themed building blocks aim to support the baby’s development of cognitive and motor skills, said the National Population and Talent Division (NPTD) on Feb 28.

3. Toy play set

The toy set aims to encourage the child to explore and develop problem-solving and fine motor skills, said NPTD.

4. Limited edition Becky Bunny plushie

The SG60 limited edition Becky Bunny plushie aims to encourage imaginative play, sensory development and early exploration. Becky Bunny is the mascot for Families for Life, and represents family values like love, respect and commitment.

5. Hegen straw cup with adaptor cap

The straw cup set, by local brand Hegen, aims to support the child’s needs as the child gains more independence in feeding and drinking.

6. Skip Hop diaper backpack

The backpack will help parents stay organised and prepared, keeping the child’s essentials within easy reach, said NPTD.

7. Trolley bag

The trolley bag can be used to store and transport the child’s items. It provides an opportunity for children to develop a sense of responsibility as they take charge of their belongings, NPTD said.

8. SG60 parenting journal

The SG60 Families for Life parenting journal provides useful tips and resources for the key developmental milestones in a child’s first year.

Parents can use the journal to document their child’s growth and retain it as a keepsake. Tips for grandparents are also included.

9. Becky Bunny storybooks

The book set emphasises important family values like care and concern, through the adventures of Becky Bunny and her family.

These books also allow parents to read to their child, to stimulate the development of language skills and inspire a love for reading.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office Indranee Rajah, who announced details on the gifts in Parliament on Feb 28, said: “We encourage parents to bond with their babies over these books and inspire a love of reading through them.”

10. Food bib

The silicone food bib helps the child when moving to solid foods, making mealtimes less messy.

Ms Indranee said: “We hope parents will find the gift meaningful and useful – to inspire the child in discovering the world around them, and to support parents in nurturing and caring for their child.”

Singaporean children who were born before Jan 1, but had an estimated date of delivery (EDD) on or after Jan 1 will also be eligible. Parents of these babies may register for the gift with supporting documents, like a doctor’s certification of the child’s EDD.

Parents who register for the SG60 Baby Gift by March 15 can collect the gift at Celebrating Our Families events organised by the People’s Association, held over weekends in April and May.

Those who cannot attend the events or who register after March 15 will get their gifts delivered to their homes from mid-May.
