And according to Virtus Fertility Centre's new medical director, Dr Ann Tan, infertility is on the rise.

"One of the main causes of the actual rise is the rising age of marriage. However, male and female fertility cannot be attributed to a single cause. There is a diverse range of contributing factors which can have an impact on fertility issues including exposure to chemicals, pollution, stress and an unhealthy diet and lifestyle," she says.
