Velda Tan's Rocky Pregnancy Story Will Make You Believe In Miracles

Singaporean fashion influencer Velda Tan is pregnant!

Two days ago, the fashion entrepreneur revealed on Instagram that she and her husband, restaurateur Frederick Yap, would be expecting their first child. But it wasn’t your ordinary “we’ve got a bun in the oven” type posts — Tan followed up the announcement with another post yesterday revealing that she was suffering from polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), a condition that results in “[h]ormonal fluctuations, weight gain & infertility”.

Tan shared more about her experience in treating PCOS, which included “horrible cycles of medication to stimulate egg growth, with no result, only more pain, more weight gain, and cycle after cycle of disappointment.” However, she persevered over the next few years and is currently 12 weeks pregnant. Talk about blessings in disguise!
