A curry-based dish with tender chunks of chicken. Try this tasty recipe at home for a healthy spin on this hearty dish!

- 1.5 kg fresh chicken, cut into 12 pieces and washed with salt, rinsed well
- 250 ml coconut milk
- 100 ml water
- Salt, to taste
- 3 tbsps canola oil
- 4 cloves garlic
- 8 stalks chilli padi
- 4 cm ginger
- Turmeric leaves, for garnishing
- 8 cloves shallots
- 15 stalks dried chillies
- 1 tbsp meat curry powder
- 3 cm fresh turmeric
Add chopped shallots, garlic, dried chillies, chili padi, ginger, meat curry powder, canola oil in a food processor or blender.
Pour blended mixture into a large pot with oil. Sauté until cooked. Then add water, coconut milk and stir well.
Add chicken pieces, stir and mix evenly on low heat for 5 minutes. Then simmer on medium heat till gravy thickens.
Garnish with turmeric leaves before serving.
