For a quick and refreshing dessert, serve up warm baked peaches with an ice cream of your choice. The cereal clusters give an added crunch that’s so satisfying.


  • 825 g can peach halves in syrup, syrup reserved
  • ¼ cup plain flour
  • 50 g butter, chilled and chopped
  • 2 tbsps caster sugar
  • 1 tbsp blanched almonds, chopped
  • 1 cup clusters breakfast cereal
  • Ice-cream, to serve

Preheat oven to moderate, 180 C. Lightly grease a large baking dish. Pour in reserved syrup and arrange peaches in dish, cut side up.


Sift flour into a bowl. Using fingertips, rub in butter until mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Use fingertips again to mix in sugar, almonds and cereal.


Sprinkle crumble mixture evenly over fruit. Bake 12-15 mins, until golden. Serve warm, with ice-cream.
