What makes a pineapple and chicken ham, also known as Hawaiian pizza, tastier than it already is? Caramelise the pineapple pieces to add sweetness to the dish.
- 450 g can pineapple pieces or a small pineapple
- 220 g tomato sauce-topped pizza bases
- 220 g sliced chicken ham
- 1 cup (120 g) cheddar cheese, coarsely grated
Preheat oven to 220 C (200 C fan-forced). Peel pineapple. Slice thinly. Heat oiled large frying pan over high heat. Cook pineapple, both sides, until caramelised. Remove from pan.
Place pineapple on tomato sauce-topped pizza bases. Top with chicken ham and cheese. Bake, about 15 minutes or until base is browned and crisp. Cut into wedges to serve.
