Store-bought flavoured yoghurts are great for a healthy-ish snack on the go. However, if you are trying to eat healthier and with more textures (perhaps with a crunchy mix?), you may want to skip those, get a plain yoghurt and create your own topping. Aside from health benefits, you can customise the topping, so it will taste just the way you like it.
Waffle cones don’t only have to go with ice-cream once you have this reimagined dessert with no guilt, only pleasure! Turn your quintessential breakfast food into a post-dinner snack with this yoghurt topping recipe of peach slices and a sprinkle of walnuts.
Ingredients
- 4 waffle ice-cream cones
- 2 cups Greek-style natural yoghurt
- 420 g canned peach, sliced in natural juice, drained
- ½ cup walnuts, toasted, coarsely chopped
- Golden syrup, to drizzle
Steps
Crumble waffle cones into a bowl.
Spoon yoghurt into bowls. Top with waffle cone, peaches and walnuts. Serve drizzled with golden syrup.
