A complete look can never be achieved without the right hairdo to go along with it – and hairography never looked so classy as it does when finished with a hair bow.
Nowhere was this trend more apparent than at the recent Cannes Film Festival where young starlets like Dakota Fanning and Margaret Qualley topped off their romantic princessy hairdos with various iterations of the bow.

Qualley who stars in Claire Denis’ Stars At Noon matched her black Chanel couture dress with a dramatic organza bow for the red carpet while Elle Fanning turned up for the screening of Top Gun: Maverick with a dainty hair bow barrette clipped on her side-swept golden locks.

Bella Hadid matched her vintage Chanel gown with a white grosgrain bow for an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival.
Bella Hadid, who stole the show at Cannes with her rotation of vintage dresses from brands such as Versace and Gucci (from the Tom Ford era), made an appearance for the Chopard Loves Cinema dinner on May 25 in a black and white Chanel ballgown from 1986. Wrapping her brunette ponytail? A large white grosgrain ribbon.

Less is more with Alexandre de Paris’ hair bow collection. The velvet hair barrette is a medium-sized bow that comes in a number of colours for everyday-wear, to doll up the fit of the day.
Asymmetrically designed with two upturned ends, Fendi’s bow-shaped clip is made from satin and adorned with the brand’s FF Karligraphy motif in beige lettering.
For something a little more subdued, The Uniform is a London-based clothing brand that specialises in bows for all occasions. Designed from soft velvet, the brand’s bows are attached to scrunchies instead of hair clips, so that your hair stays as secure as it does styled.
This hair clip is a nod to the immensely successful bow motif found on the Vara shoe, which has appeared on the women’s collection of shoes since 1978. Made from leather and featuring Ferragamo lettering on its buckle, this hot pink design would jazz up any hairdo.
