There are two things that are certain each time Kate Middleton or Meghan Markle steps out into the public.
Firstly, crowds will almost always line the streets to catch a glimpse (and maybe even a handshake) of their favourite royals. Secondly, the world watches with excitement to see what either of these two stylish royals are going to be wearing, to serve as some inspiration perhaps.
But between the two sister-in-laws, just who wields more influence amongst shoppers? Well according to eBay's annual retail report, it seems like Kate Middleton has turned up as the top royal influencer of our time.
This may surprise some, given how much fanfare Meghan Markle's been attracting since her beautiful wedding back in May. And while Meghan came in as a close runner-up, the report stated that Kate attracted much more attention, particularly during her pregnancies.
In fact, when she stepped out of St. Mary's Hospital to present Prince Louis whilst wearing a red Jenny Packham dress, online searches about the British designer surged twofolds. This result drastically overtook all search results about Meghan's Givenchy wedding dress.
eBay also went on to report that online searches for tailored maternity coats more than tripled in November 2017, as the Duchess of Cambridge announced she was pregnant with her third baby.
So, with Kate leading the royal style influencer pack and Meghan coming in second, who's the royal member who rounds the pack off? It's none other than Kate's own daughter, Princess Charlotte.
Sorry Queen Elizabeth, better luck next time!
