Layering Bags On Top Of Each Other Is The New 2022 F/W Trend

Going by the ongoing Fall/Winter 2022 fashion week shows, it’s shaping up to be a good season. It’s almost enough to make one restless and impatient – even as Spring/Summer 2022 is just hitting stores – for some newness. What’s really caught our eyes, though, is a bag layering styling move seen at Proenza Schouler’s excellent FW22 runway show in New York.

It’s very simple in theory: a large tote paired with a boxy shoulder bag. There are options aplenty for both those categories. But you might want to be guided in your choices by easy combinations and contrasts: smooth versus textured, glossy versus matte, slouchy versus structured, matching materials and colour tones, and so on.
