Maximalist Shield-Like Sunglasses Are The Eyewear Trend Of 2023

After “ludicrously capacious” bags, the next jumbo accessories to get our attention are goggle-like shades. Essentially a subset of sports sunglasses, these shield-like shades are characterised by massive frames that go as high up as the brows and as low as the cheeks. Alexander McQueen, Fendi and Chanel totally got the “go big or go home” memo this season, showing various interpretations of the OTT eyewear. As warmer temperatures are set to continue, we say this eyewear trend is just what we need for maximum protection from the sun’s glare.
