Charmaine Sheh's return to TVB has created a buzz, but it's her stunning outfits that have stolen the limelight

One of the anniversary dramas of Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), “The Queen of News,” tells the story of office politics and power struggles among the news anchors of SNK News. Charmaine Sheh, who plays Man Wai Sum (Sister Man), the lead anchor, has become a hot topic due to her outstanding performance and fabulous outfits.

Representative color: white
Care and incredible detail went into planning for “Man Jie”‘s outfits with producer Zhong Shujia, Charmaine Sheh working with Guidance from Guo Shumin, the winner of the “Best Costume Design” at the Golden Horse Awards to create her look.
Outfits revolved around three stages
Man Jie’s outfits revolves around three different stages: the early career stage, the struggle stage, and the queen’s reign stage. In her first appearance she dons her signature all-white outfit.
Cinched in blazers were used frequently
Her blazers usually have a waist-cinching design, which looks even more sleek when paired with long skirts and wide-leg pants.
The lead character portrayed a high-powered news anchor
The character “Hua Jie,” played by Che Wanwan, is a former gold medal anchor and also the boss of She Shi Man. Man Jie’s signature white outfits signify her takeover of Hua Jie’s position.
Neutral tones were used a lot
Alongside white, she has also been seen to wear grey.
Accessories such as belts were utilised a lot
Another grey number matched with wide-leg trousers, highlighting the waist with multiple layers of belts.

The producer revealed during the interview that Man Jie wore black in the scene where she resigned. The black suit, which came from Balmain, is usually draped over her shoulders.

While mostly seen in designer-wear, Man Jie is sometimes seen in Zara and Cos.
The show journeyed through her style evolution from beat reporter to news anchor
Her style evolution is emphasised even more during her flashbacks to her days as a journalist where she is dressed more simpler.

But the character's favourite bag is the Acro 33 from Bottega Veneta
Man Jie’s favourite brand is Bottega Veneta with the character having 3 bags from the brand. She is seen carrying the “Acro 33” here.

The “Shoulder Pouch Bag” with a cow horn shape has the signature fluffy appearance and texture of Bottega Veneta’s cloud bag.
