SABRINA TAN

Founder & CEO, Skin Inc

This fearless mother-of-two started Skin Inc to help women gain more confidence in themselves and to celebrate each person’s uniqueness and individuality. Sabrina is also an advisor and mentor to many different women entrepreneurship and leadership initiatives by the Singapore government and non-profit organisations, and she aims to empower and inspire women around the world to rise up, follow their dreams on their own terms and become game changers.

NANZ CHONG-KOMO

Entrepreneur; Best-selling Author, Speaker; Overall Winner Women Entrepreneur Of The Year 2000

From a fashion modelling career to starting her own business – ONE.99shop – which she grew into a $14 million-dollar business in just three years, Nanz is certainly deserving of the Overall Winner of the Women Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the Association of Small & Medium Enterprises (ASME) in 2000. Her personal experience of facing severe adversity and personal trials led her to publish three books and to speak at many events to encourage and advise entrepreneurs.

CHRISSY GOH-TASKER

Founder and CEO, JLC Enterprises Pte Ltd; Great Women Of Our Time 2016, Health, Sports & Wellness nominee

This enterprising mother-of-three dived into e-commerce in 2003, and today, her company is a leading distributor of popular sports brands such as Nike, Converse, and Adidas by Stella McCartney. More recently, Chrissy has diversified into the business of recycling, and is currently in talks with the National Environmental Agency to explore the potential of implementing her recycling programme nationwide. Chrissy aims to show that good leaders are those who remain humble, open minded and appreciate the strength of others.

FION PHUA

Founder, Keeping Hope Alive; Great Women Of Our Time 2016, Education & Public Service nominee

In 2012, Fion, a self-made club membership broker from humble beginnings, donated 50 branded bags in exchange for sacks of rice for the needy. Fion has always had a heart for the needy, and had felt troubled by the thought of the poor struggling silently behind closed doors. This deep desire to help them led the mother-of-one to start Keeping Hope Alive 16 years ago. Fion and her team of volunteers have been actively helping needy families and elderly folks, and last year, her contributions were commended as she received the President’s Volunteerism and Philanthropy Award.

TAN YEN YEN

Regional Vice President & Managing Director, Asia Pacific (South), SAS Institute Pte Ltd; Great Women Of Our Time 2009, Science & Technology nominee

An award-winning corporate leader, Yen Yen has earned numerous awards, including “Most Inspiring Woman” in The Singapore Women’s Weekly Great Women Of Our Time Awards 2009, and Top 10 Women in The Peak’s 2015 Power List. She is currently the Chairman of Singapore Science Centre, Director of Singapore Press Holdings, Director of Gemalto, Director of Defence Science and Technology Agency, Director of Cap Vista, and Advisor Mentor of TNF Ventures, and sits on the board of directors for several organisations. Yen Yen is the proud mum to four children.

TAN SU-LYN

Co-Founder and CEO, The Ate Group; Great Women Of Our Time 2016, Arts & Media nominee

Su-Lyn, together with her husband, Aun Koh, share their passion for cooking, travelling, eating and drinking on their online blog Chubby Hubby. They also founded integrated communications agency, The Ate Group, which counts Tippling Club, Jamie’s Italian Singapore, and Joel Robuchon Restaurant, amongst its illustrious list of clients. This mother-of-two admits it is not easy being a working mother. But she says she has learnt to juggle motherhood while running the agency by tapping on to the power of the women’s network, where she gains encouragement from shared experiences by fellow mumpreneurs.

SHER-LI TORREY

Founder & Director, Mums @ Work

Sher-Li started Mums@Work (Singapore) as a social enterprise that supports women by acting as a point of information source for flexi-time work or mumpreneur business ownership. As founder of Singapore’s first flexible work career portal with more than 26,000 members, Sher-Li is a voice for diversity and inclusion, as well as women-related issues. She currently sits on the Singapore government’s REACH Supervisory Panel and is the co-author of the two books on entrepreneurship. Sher-Li is married with a daughter and son who she says inspire her every day.
