From spending time with kids to going on a hike, here's how celebs in Singapore welcomed 2024

Happy 2024! How did you spend the last moments of 2023, and the first day of the new year? Whether you spent the day out with your kids or lying in bed for some me-time, we hope you started the year exactly how you wanted to. Some celebrities in Singapore went the healthy route, while others spent quality time with family. We trawled through social media to see what they were up to.
1. Zoe Tay
Zoe Tay started the year on a healthy note by going hiking, updating her Instagram stories with photos of her on a morning hike with her husband and friends. She then treated herself to a bowl of mee soon kuey and roast pork because of course everyone deserves good food after a workout.
2. Rebecca Lim
Singapore has been rainy these couple of weeks, so it’s no surprise that Rebecca Lim’s mum prepared
a steamboat feast for the fam to celebrate 2024. Having hot pot is also symbolic of a family reunion, and there's no better way to herald in the new year than surrounded with loved ones!
3. Fann Wong and Christopher Lee
Fann Wong, Christopher Lee, and their son Zed spent New Year overseas, with the actress posting a family photo of the trio up on Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina. They've been on holiday in the U.S for two weeks now, having gone from New York to North Carolina.
4. Constance Song
Constance Song gifted her daughter a new experience to punctuate 2023: by bringing her to a New
Year's Eve party. The mother-daughter pair even donned props for the celebration! Penning this
down as inspo for a bonding activity.
5. Cynthia Koh
Joining the list of celebrities who inspire us to be healthier in 2024 is Cynthia Koh. She stepped into 2024 with a morning walk, during which she even spotted a blue coral snake! She admitted she spent the New Year's Eve watching Netflix, eating chips and drinking beer, which honestly sounds like the perfect evening, if you ask us. But what resonated with us the most was the post she shared, which reminded us not to feel bad if our lives are not as exciting or joyful as what we see on social media.
6. Kate Pang and Andie Chen
Fireworks lit the skies across the globe as everyone rang in 2024, and that includes Taiwan, where celeb couple Kate Pang and Andie Chen are now based. They shared a video of their family of four — the couple have two kids — at Guanhai Boulevard in Taipei's Bali District, which saw a large crowd gathering to watch the visual spectacle.
7. Cheryl Wee
New Year's is best spent with family, especially when you’re up to shenanigans together. Cheryl Wee did just that with her fam, as they wore coordinated their dress code with red tops and jeans. For a themed party that's also sustainable, pick a colour that you can wear for Christmas, New Year, and Chinese New Year (maybe not on the first day though) so you can reuse your outfits.
8. Annette Lee
New year, new home. It's fresh beginnings for Annette Lee and her family — that's husband Raph and her one-year-old son Wes — who spent the last few days of 2023 moving into their new home. She also shared a look inside their space, which looks to have a modern theme and a hint of industrial vibes with concrete screed walls.
9. Carrie Wong
While most people were counting down to 2024, January 1 babies like Carrie Wong were counting down to their birthdays. The actress celebrated her 30th birthday with friends and loved ones, including fellow actress Chantalle Ng, who said on an Instagram story that she flew back to Singapore in time for the celebration.
10. Kim Lim
Kim Lim ushered in 2024 in London with her son at a theme park. In her Instagram post, she was seen
visiting a carnival with her son.
