Tightly curled hair might bring up some memories of awful ‘80s hair dos, but we love the updated look seen on Rihanna. Apply styling mousse to damp hair before blow-drying.
Use the 30 mm barrel with the Dyson Airwrap and start curling a small section at a time until all your hair is curled. Loosen the curls by running your fingers through your hair. Long hair has the tendency to look flat due to the weight, but you can always remedy that with a bit of volume near the roots. Try SACHAJUAN volume powder, a multi-award winning product that creates volume while providing structure. Suitable for both long and short hair, the dry product gives a matte finish and a fresh feel between shampoos.
If you have long hair like Park Min Young, use a round brush near the roots to lift hair, then use a hair tong with a 40 mm barrel to curl hair near the roots for an airy, classic 'do.
Due to the shorter length, mid-length hair is great for creating loose curls and even a curly lob - perfect for days when you want to change up your style. Create tighter curls in the morning, so that you can get loose curls in the evening.
An important but easily forgotten tip when curling your hair is to let your curls cool to set the shape. After curling, hold the curls with bobby pins for about 15 minutes before releasing them and spritzing with hair spray.
Try a hairspray with medium hold and one that is humidity-resistant. Percy & Reed hairspray is formulated with hair-compatible ingredients that improve gloss and condition. It helps to ‘seal’ your style by providing good hold and a natural-feel flexibility.
