'I'm no longer 26': Local veteran actress Rebecca Lim not showing too much skin these days as compared to when she was younger
One of the highlights of Star Awards is the celebs' red carpet looks.
Last year, local actress Rebecca Lim played it safe, turning up in an elegant black backless gown.
So, rightfully, there was a buzz about what the star would be going for this year.
"Have you noticed that I've been more covered up in recent years?" joked the 35-year-old in an interview with Shin Min Daily News on 18 April, ahead of the awards. That was hint enough.
"My figure isn't the same as it was 10 years ago, I'm no longer 26, I don't need to reveal so much."
This year's Star Awards was a crucial one for Rebecca – she won the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artiste award, which in turn qualifies her for the All-Time Favourite Artiste Award for next year.
To help her earn a place in the Top 10, Rebecca's friends, family and fiance had all been chipping in by casting their votes daily.
She had also been diligently voting for herself every day.
When asked prior to the show how she would reward herself if she wins, Rebecca replied: "I'll go home and eat two packets of instant noodles with two eggs and drink some champagne."
Rebecca wore a full-length sequinned and colour-blocked Louis Vuitton gown that gave off sporty vibes and flattered her athletic figure. Complementing her outfit was a Longines watch and Goldheart jewellery.
