10 Of Rebecca Lim's Chic Pregnancy Looks To Cop
From sharp formal wear to soft and cosy looks
By Michelle Lee SM -
Rebecca Lim has welcomed her baby boy with her husband Matthew Webster! Announcing the good news through her Instagram page, she shared a post-labour photo of the family of three in a Mount Elizabeth Novena ward, writing, "We are so thankful our baby boy has arrived healthy and well." She gave birth on Jan 30, 2024, after 14 hours in labour.
Thanking her doctor as well as nurses at the hospital, as well as her makeup artist Shaun Lee for capturing their first family picture, she added, "Stepping into my most challenging role to date hasn’t been easy but I will try to be the best Mom I can be. Thank you for always allowing us to share our joy with you."
Throughout her pregnancy, the local actress has doled out a series of glowing maternity looks. The 37-year-old went for voluminous as well as drapey styles that gently shrouded her bump, as well as tailored jackets that add structure. For style inspiration for your own maternity wardrobe, here's a round-up of her chic pregnancy looks to cop.
1. A printed midi dress
For a launch by French fashion brand Longchamp, Rebecca sported a midi dress that's gently cinched at the waist and then flares out into a flowy silhouette. The prints, inspired by the first patterns of the House's silk papers where riders and horses are depicted, add to a fun and feminine maternity look.
2. A long black dress and jacket combo
There's no going wrong with a bump-hugging black dress, which the actress matched with a checked jacket worn over her shoulder for a bit of structure. And just right for mums-to-be seeking a formal maternity look.
3. A boxy jacket, and a thigh-high slit
Here's another jacket-and-dress pairing, but Rebecca switched it up with a boxier jacket sporting strong padded shoulders for more structure and a bolder silhouette. She also upped the glamour with her long dress featuring a thigh-high slit.
4. A streamlined silhouette
This Ralph Lauren tux dress gave the actress a structured, streamlined silhouette, which she paired with equally sleek locks and a bold red lip.
5. Chic and breezy separates
This knitted top with a light pleated skirt is a chic combo that allows for ease of movement. The laidback look's great for brunch, or when you're out shopping for baby stuff.
6. Go for a full skirt
A full voluminous skirt is a great option that'll flatter every figure and is especially accommodating for a growing baby bump.
7. Understated and sophisticated
Nominated for Best Leading Actress for her work in the drama Third Rail at the Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards, which was held in Busan, South Korea, the expectant mum wore an elegant figure-skimming red dress with cape-like detailing to attend the event.
8. Tone on tone
She went classic and tailored for another Ralph Lauren event in a tailored coat and belly-hugging turtle neck maxi dress.
9. Cosy knits
Stretchy cosy knits don't just ooze laid-back appeal, they'll also last you through your pregnancy and beyond.
9. Flowy florals
The mum-to-be announced the happy news of her pregnancy in a cheery yellow dress that matched the mood.
