Zen Beauty’s Aqua Head Spa offers that sense of release, with an hour-long session that combines scalp cleansing with massage and herbal water therapy.

Named Most Relaxing Head Spa Treatment at The Weekly’s Spa & Wellness Awards 2026, the seven-step treatment features a house blend of more than 30 herbal ingredients, with each session tailored to your scalp condition and concerns.

Soothing tension from scalp to shoulders

Spa Awards reviewer Terri Kue arrived hoping to unwind and ease the tightness she often carries in her head and neck. She found the spa conveniently located and easy to get to, with the nearby Novena Medical Hub providing a useful drop-off point.

Inside, curtained hair-wash stations offer privacy, with massage chairs for added comfort. 

To begin, the therapist checked Terri’s scalp condition and suggested herbal preparations based on her concerns.

Then, she performed an essential oil massage around the eyes and forehead, followed by a rinse with the spa’s specially brewed herbal-infused water. Its in-house blend contains more than 30 Chinese herbal ingredients, including saffron, rehmannia, angelica and mulberry leaves, which adds an aromatic, sensory dimension to the experience.

Next came a whole-head massage using a meridian comb – a rounded tool designed to massage the scalp and work through areas of tension. 

For Terri, the hair wash, head and neck massage that came next was a highlight. “The hair wash and massage section lasted a very long time, which felt amazing,” she shared. “The strength used was perfect, and it was such a deeply relaxing time.”

A gentle circular flow of herbal water from the halo water ring followed, adding another soothing element to the experience. The session ended on a pampering note with a hand massage (for female customers only), followed by a professional blow-dry and styling.

Feel lighter and more relaxed

While a freshly cleansed scalp was an immediate benefit, Terri noticed the effects most in how relaxed she felt afterwards.

“I think the biggest change was the lack of tension in my scalp,” she said. “I’m naturally a very tense individual – my muscles are often working without me knowing. But after the spa, I felt totally calm. My jaw, neck and scalp all felt so relaxed.”
