When the usual hour-long massage doesn’t quite feel like enough, sometimes what you need is the luxury of an entire afternoon to slow down and reset.

Tucked within Oasia Resort Sentosa, Oasia Spa offers just that: an island retreat that feels removed from the pace of city life, yet is just a short journey from central Singapore.

The spa takes a holistic approach to well-being, with full-body massages, facials and wellness rituals designed around its Refresh, Refuel and Recharge philosophy, supporting an overall sense of rest and rejuvenation.

Its Oasia Signature Retreat, winner of Best Holistic Spa Retreat in The Singapore Women’s Weekly’s Spa & Wellness Awards 2026, turns 150 minutes into a head-to-toe wellness journey, combining a hands-on body scrub experience, exfoliation and an extended signature massage.

Start by making your own body scrub

The retreat starts with a hands-on touch: creating your own body scrub. Rather than simply selecting a treatment, guests take part in creating an element of the experience themselves.

During a 15-minute crafting session, a therapist guides you through creating a personalised body scrub using natural ingredients such as Himalayan salt, cane sugar or oats, and essential oils.

Spa Awards reviewer Gwyneth Goh found this one of the most memorable parts of the experience. Being able to select and mix the ingredients herself made the ritual feel more personal, and gave her the reassurance of knowing exactly what was being applied to her skin.

The freshly made scrub was then put straight to work during 30 minutes of dry brushing and body exfoliation. For Gwyneth, the results lasted beyond her afternoon on Sentosa. Her elbows, which tend to become rough from resting on a desk while typing, “remained noticeably smooth for more than a week”, she shared.

A 105-minute massage made for switching off

With skin freshly exfoliated, the retreat moves into its centrepiece: the Oasia Signature Massage.

Designed with stressed urbanites in mind, the 105-minute treatment brings together Asian bodywork techniques, including Thai stretching, Japanese shiatsu and Indian massage to help release muscular tension and encourage deep relaxation.

You begin by selecting an essential oil blend through a sensory test, while guided breathing techniques and a head massage help ease you into a slower rhythm and prepare the body for the treatment ahead.

As the massage progresses, the therapist adjusts the pressure and focuses on areas of tension, tailoring the experience to help you unwind more fully.

The complete ritual worked for Gwyneth. “The massage was amazing,” she said. By the end of the treatment, her body felt “totally relaxed”.

Beyond the treatment itself, the complete spa experience includes time to unwind before and after your session. On arrival, guests are welcomed with tea at the Tea Lounge, while a pre-treatment sauna session is recommended to encourage circulation and loosen the muscles.

Afterwards, they can linger at the Meditation Lounge, or make use of the resort’s gym and 22.5m outdoor pool.

There is also the option of adding a three-course Wellness Set Meal ($50++) to round off the retreat. Gwyneth was given time to change and enjoy tea and wholesome refreshments in the Meditation Lounge before heading to her meal at Bedrock Origin, where the set menu, featuring kingfish collar, smoked tomato soup and a warm brussels sprout salad, became another highlight of her afternoon.

It is this unhurried progression – from making something with your own hands to exfoliating, massaging, resting and dining – that makes the Oasia Signature Retreat feel less like a single spa appointment and more like setting aside a proper pocket of time for yourself, with space to restore and rejuvenate both body and mind.

The Oasia Signature Retreat is available at Oasia Spa at $310++ for a 150-minute session. Book your appointment here.

Oasia Spa is at 23 Beach View, Unit 01-03, Palawan Ridge, Sentosa Island, Singapore 098679.
