January 2026 is here, and that means Single’s Inferno Season 5 has graced our screens.

If you haven’t already caught the last four seasons, the premise of Netflix’s hit reality dating show centres around a group of young, single South Korean heartthrobs searching for love while stranded on an island (with the exception of the production crew, of course). Contestants aren’t allowed to reveal their age or occupation, and must rely purely on charm and chemistry to win over a match. Each time they match up, they get to spend a night in Paradise (a fancy hotel), while those who don’t remain on the Inferno island.

By the end of the show, each contestant must make a final choice, revealing who they’ve truly connected with.

*Spoiler alert*

When is Single’s Inferno Season 5 airing?

Season 5 dropped on Netflix on Jan 20, 2026 (4pm SGT), with the first four episodes released. The 12-episode series airs three new episodes every Tuesday. Earlier, Netflix dropped a trailer that isn’t short on spicy, even more sizzling scenes, from swimwear-clad bods to couples cuddling in bed. You can also expect more drama, too, with panel emcee Hong Jin-kyung saying in the trailer, “Season 5 is wild” and the others looking to be totally speechless.

Who’s the cast of Single’s Inferno Season 5 and what are their Instagram accounts?

The emcee panel from the past seasons is back. There’s actress, host and comedian Hong Jin-kyung, model and actress Lee Da-hee, singer and Super Junior member Kyuhyun, rapper Hanhae, and fan-favourite S2 contestant and now TV personality Dex (Kim Jin-young).

The 30-year-old is a track-and-field athlete who has been a professional runner for the past 17 years, and is on a team with Hwaseong City Hall. She’s not new to showbiz either, having appeared on Korean shows like Kick A Goal and Knowing Bros.

Despite her cool exterior, she says she’s actually bubbly and cutesy at heart. When she’s interested in someone, she doesn’t give up easily and keeps pursuing them until they open up. It’s been a while since she last dated, and she’s hoping to meet someone who’ll make her swoon.

She proudly calls herself athletic and regularly shares sporty photos of herself on Instagram — and adds she might outperform some of the male contestants. Naturally, we’re excited to see her bring her competitive edge to the show’s physical challenges.

Not to be confused with the Goblin actress who shares the same name, Kim Go-eun is a model and former Miss Korea runner-up (2022). She has also been linked romantically with K-pop star G-Dragon, although the latter’s agency has denied them, stating that the two are just friends.

Born in 2000, the 26-year-old describes herself as having sharp, cat-like features but a puppy-like personality. While she may come off as cold at first, she says she’s actually cute and warm once you get to know her. Having always been in relationships, Go-eun isn’t used to being single — and she’s hoping to meet someone on the show who’ll steal her heart and put an end to her single era.

26-year-old Choi Mina Sue was crowned Miss Earth in 2022, the first time South Korea won the Miss Earth pageant. She was born in Sydney, Australia, then moved back to South Korea at a young age. Currently, she’s a student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the United States.

She admits she can be a little self-centred in relationships and tends to put herself first. She’s not into fancy dates either — a casual outing over chicken feet is her idea of the perfect date. Physique-wise, she’s drawn to guys with full lips and broad shoulders. She describes herself as a ball of fire, and loves high-energy sports as well as scuba diving, which she says brings her a sense of peace.

The 25-year-old — he was born in 2001 — describes himself as extremely competitive and admits he hates losing so much that it can even keep him up at night. He also practices jiu-jitsu — a skill that could come in handy during any wrestling-style games on the show. While he doesn’t fall in love easily, when he does decide to pursue someone, he says it usually ends in success.

He works as a marketer at a fashion marketing company, and has also appeared on the cover of Sure Magazine Korea.

In episode 2, a few newcomers land on Inferno, and Lim Su-been is one of them. The 24-year-old confesses that he has never experienced love at first sight, and hopes to find someone who would steal his heart instantly. People describe him as mature, but also that he has golden retriever energy.

Likened to actor Song Joong-ki, he’s also been told he looks sexy when working out — something he does daily. He says he’s skilled at all kinds of athletic activities, which is no surprise, considering that he used to be a baseball player. However, he had to quit due to a shoulder injury and is now a model. His ideal type is a tall woman. He even admitted he’d love to meet someone with the same charm as Lee Da-hee, which had the panel emcee blushing on the spot.

Kim Jae-jin

Calmly strolling in with his hands clasped behind his back, he immediately caught the panel’s attention—and ours. Jae-jin, who turns 28 this year, admits that people often call him immature, yet also surprisingly mature. “I’m a guy who’s capable of that,” he says with confidence. He describes his charm as being sweet and funny, with a personality that contrasts his cold exterior and reveals an unexpected, surprising appeal. He also promises to approach every moment on the island with honesty and sincerity.

From his poised entrance alone, we guessed he might be a dancer—and we were right. One of the first to go to Paradise after winning a popularity vote, he shared that he majored in modern dance and works as a professional dancer, as well as teaches dance lessons. He also appeared on the South Korean reality dance competition Stage Fighter.

He admits it’s been a while since he last felt butterflies, which is why he joined Single’s Inferno — to get that experience again. His ideal type is a woman with a pure, innocent look, and he says if he spots her, he’d go after her relentlessly. He also mentions that many women have pursued him in the past. When it comes to sports and physical challenges, he’s fiercely competitive. From his intro, we also learn he practices sword fighting.

Born in 1999, the 27-year-old works at an IT company, where he works on modelling and designing user interfaces for apps and websites, and conducting market research. Those who’ve watched the show may have noticed that he speaks Chinese - he shares that he studied in China during his elementary school years due to his father’s job and his whole family there. He also graduated from Chung-Ang University with a degree in Sports Sciences.

Ye-jin says people often see her as kind, quiet, and pretty at first. But once they get to know her, the 30-year-old reveals a more quirky, honest, and cute side. She’s never really flirted with anyone, but her natural habit of making strong eye contact when she talks to people seems to do the trick — and things just tend to work out. She’s a freelance announcer, working for various corporations as an in-house announcer, and reads the city news. She also hosts events.

When it comes to her dating style, she wants to be her partner’s top priority.

She’s often asked out, and jokes that guys come up to her every three steps she takes. During her intro, she shared that she’s never really fallen head over heels for a guy (up till then) and hopes to meet her ideal type on Inferno.

The 23-year-old is a student at Carnegie Mellon University in the US, where she studies Information Systems. During the show, she also revealed that she was interning at a global cosmetics brand, focusing on customer relationship management, customer data analysis and marketing strategies.

He says he doesn’t fall behind when it comes to his physique or aura, and looks to be a total gym bunny - which isn’t all surprising, considering that the 28-year-old is a handball coach. He shared that he’d been an athlete from elementary school to his sophomore years, but his shoulder surgeries led him to turn to coaching. Older women often tell him he’s cute, and he believes in fate, looking forward to meeting someone he’s meant to be with on Inferno.

Woo Sung-min

The 29-year-old optician, working in his family business, isn’t into intense romances — he prefers relaxed, easy-going relationships, like those between close friends. When he does start dating, it usually lasts a long time. Interestingly, no one has ever asked him out; he’s always been the one making the first move. On Inferno, he’s hoping to meet someone he can banter with and who shares his easygoing vibe. Will his laid-back charm win over the ladies, or will he end up in the friend zone? We’ll have to wait and see.

Currently living in New York, Samuel adds that he expresses himself better in English, although people have told him that he sounds cute when he speaks in Korean. His ideal type is someone who’s cat-like, genuine, and kind. He thinks his warmth, competence, and hidden charm are what draw people to him.

He confidently says that he’s the best in his field of expertise — he studied Mathematics and Computer Science at UC Berkeley in California, before working at Google as an AI engineer for two years. The 28-year-old has been a quantitative trader in New York for the past three years, where he builds mathematical algorithms that teach computers how to buy and sell stocks.

When he sees someone he’s interested in, he’s the first one to make a move and isn’t shy about asking anyone out.

During her introduction, the 26-year-old shared that she’s been popular since day one, earning the nickname “school goddess” as a teen, with guys literally fighting over her. Often described as a ray of sunshine, she may look calm and elegant on the outside, but she has a bubbly personality and is frequently praised for being a smart cookie. And honestly, she bears a slight resemblance to actress Moon Ga-young.

In episode five, two game changers enter Inferno, ready to stir things up. One of them is Lee Ha-eun. The 22-year-old beauty model has also dabbled in hip-hop dance and describes herself as someone who radiates positive energy. Her favorite feature is her soft, round eyes. Although she joins the show halfway through, she actually prefers it that way, believing it wil be more fun — and she’s excited to shake things up.

The next game changer is Jo I-geon, and if you find him familiar, that might be because you’ve seen him on screen before. The 34-year-old is an actor who has starred in Korean drama The Trunk (2024), alongside heavyweights Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun Jin.

He shares that his dating style is intense and passionate, sometimes to the point of, in his words, ‘being crazy’. People often say he’s hard to read, and he’s never been the one to make the first move — most of the time, others approach him. He feels that his appeal lies in his athletic physique and sexiness, paired with a relaxed, laid-back personality.
