Taiwanese Singer Jam Hsiao Is Engaged To His Manager Of 16 Years

In an Instagram post, he announced that he will be tying the knot with his manager Summer Lin, 50, whom he has been romantically linked with for a long time.⁠

The 36-year-old wrote in Mandarin, “I know this is sudden, but I want everyone to know that I am very happy, I really am very happy. I have music, basketball, good friends, a loving family, and my supporters. I have had a lot. Now, I have love, a love that is true and complete.”⁠

He added that he was happy to have reached this step in his life, and hoped to receive well wishes from his fans. He also wished for them to find their own happiness.

Having collaborated for 16 years since his debut, Hsiao wished Lin, who turns 50, a happy birthday and acknowledged her as his most trusted professional partner throughout their journey.⁠

He also revealed that he had popped the question on Monday night (June 26). “Yes, I have officially bid farewell to singlehood. I will treasure and love her well,” he wrote.⁠

The couple also had a proposal party, which saw family and friends in attendance. Other celebs included pop star Jay Chou and his wife Hannah Quinlivan, as well as actress Alyssa Chia, who gave Ms Lin a kiss for encouragement before Hsiao proposed.

Local actress Yvonne Lim was also at the event, and took to Instagram to offer her congratulations.

“Beyond words, lots of happy tears. We are feeling over the moon. 16 years, it’s not easy...” she wrote on Instagram. She also addressed Hsiao and Summer Lin as her children’s godparents and referred to the number of years the pair reportedly kept their relationship under wraps.

In March 2020, Taiwanese media company Mirror Media spotted Hsiao and Ms Lin heading to his house together and a year later, the paparazzi spotted the two taking selfies in a car after Hsiao had recorded a variety show in Beijing.
