Apart from celebrating his 29th birthday, local actor and Titoudao star Joel Choo has another piece of happy news — he's set to tie the knot.

The star, who's also the son of veteran actor Zhu Houren, announced the news via his Instagram page with a series of pre-wedding portraits at an overseas destination. While the photos show his wife-to-be, details about her have yet to be revealed.

What is known is that they got engaged last December after dating for a decade.

"So I just turned 29 today, I guess it's time to get married soon," he wrote in his post. "Thank you for a decade of love and friendship, looking forward to celebrating many more milestones and sweet moments with you. I love you."

In a press statement by his agency TCP Artistes, the 29-year-old also said, “She has been a pillar of support in my life, supporting me in everything that I do and inspiring me to be the best version of myself”, says Choo. “I am blessed and excited to be able to embark on this journey of life with my best friend."

Joel Choo is best known for his leading roles as Ah Hock in Channel 5’s blockbuster “TiTouDao” and as Xiang Tian in Channel 8’s military-themed drama “When Duty Calls 2”.
