"My personal aim is to leave my little corner of the globe in a better state than when I was in it," says Vanessa, who co-founded Freedom Cups with her sisters.

I think if the menstrual cup becomes the de facto way that women deal with periods by the end of my life, I'd consider it a life well lived. I would be perfectly happy because these menstrual cups have such an impact for women, and not just for our bodies or our wallets – but for the planet too. The Earth is dying, and if everyone would chip in, that would help!"
