There were many firsts this week: Velda Tan's kids' first Bali trip, Peanut's (Carla D's son) first time meeting his Filipino family, and Juuzai's (Ang Qiu Ting's son) first crush.
Apart from those, we saw reflective moments on motherhood from Mong Chin Yeoh, Brie Benfell and Melody Chen.
Jaime Teo spent quality time with her daughter through jam sessions, and Dawn Sim recharged with her family at Lazarus Island.
Carla D brought her son Peanut to meet his Filipino family for the first time ever. She commended on Peanut's cooperation and calmness for flights, and shared how nursing Peanut helped greatly during take-off and landing. Needless to say, it was a smooth trip for both of them.
With a guitar, Jaime Teo jammed to Linger by The Cranberries with her daughter Renee (behind the camera). Check out the harmonisation between this mother-daughter duo! It definitely got us wrapped around their finger -- we'll linger and look forward to more music videos from them.
Ang Qiu Ting excitedly updated on her 4-year-old son's love life: Juuzai is absolutely smitten by his crush in school, and can't stop talking about her. Qiu Ting eventually got to meet his crush in real life! Maybe his hilarious yet innocent incident could restore some hope in humanity for true puppy love. (Qiu Ting has decided for now to send Juuzai to an all-boys primary and secondary school to save herself from future girl problems though, LOL!)
The founder of fashion brand Our Second Nature took a break from city life in Bali, well-spent with her cheery family of four. 10-month-old Leyna didn't seem to like the sand very much.
Blogger Mong Chin Yeoh commemorated her son Micah's half birthday with a compilation of nonchalant and funny moments. In her caption, she reflected on the ups and downs, as well as the unavoidable stress she suffered from breastfeeding -- but she is willing to go through it all over again for her son. How great is a mother's love?
Brie Benfell celebrated her son's 1st birthday with a minimalistic, homely photoshoot. She poured her heartfelt emotions into the caption, overflowing with gratitude for his existence and all the joy he has brought into the family. The chosen audio track says it all.
Dawn Sim visited Lazarus Island once again with her extended family -- the more, the merrier. With such a stunning view of the island, this short getaway must have been refreshing.
Speaking of schooling, Melody Chen posted an emotional, nostalgic reel of her twins at the playground, to talk about the relentless passing of time. Soon, her kids will enroll into primary school, which got her reminiscing about the past six years of baby fun. Oh, the joys and pains of watching your children grow up.
