Not to be confused with the 2005 horror film with the same title, The Boogeyman features Sadie Harper, a high school student, and her younger sister Sawyer who are grappling with the recent loss of their mother. Even so, the two are also receiving limited support from their father, Will, who is a therapist grappling with his own problems. However, one day, a distressed patient arrives at their home, seeking assistance, but inadvertently leaves behind a horrifying supernatural entity that comes after families and thrives on the sufferings it preys upon.
