Here's Why You Want To Add A Finishing Powder To Your Makeup Routine
Here's how to get that glow
Living in hot and humid tropical Singapore means most of us are all too familiar with using a setting powder to lock our makeup in place and not have it slide off with sweat and sebum. But have you heard of finishing powders? According to Hourglass Global Artistry Trainer Vanessa Eckels, finishing powders are “designed to soften and diffuse light onto the skin to blur and minimise the look of pores, wrinkles, fine lines and uneven skin texture. It’s basically like adding an Instagram filter to your face”.
With the application, finishing powder comes after foundation and setting powder. Eckels recommends using a big fluffy brush to swipe the product all over the face.
Finishing powders also offered a variety of tones and finishes so you can customise and “be your own lighting technician”, as Eckels puts it.
