Highlights and what to know about NDP 2026
Get your fun pack and other goodies
On your way in, collect your LED wristbands (these light up in sync with the performances) as well as balloon clappers. There are multiple collection points outside the different entrances, so you can easily grab them on your way in. Your NDP pack will already be waiting at your seat! This yearâs pack comes in six unique designs created by artists with disabilities.
- Total Defence showcases the six pillars of Total Defence: Military, Civil, Economic, Social, Digital and Psychological Defence, reflecting the shared responsibility of building a strong and secure nation.
- Our People highlights everyday lives, traditions, and shared experiences across our island.
- Our Shared Journey traces Singaporeâs transformation from mudflats to metropolis.
- Our Shared Memories draws on the lived experiences of generations who lived in Singapore.
- Go Beyond portrays a forward-looking Singapore that builds strong communities, embraces innovation and adapts to changes.Â
- Our Future comes emblazoned with handwritten messages from people of different ages and backgrounds - each expresses a wish, idea, or vision born from diverse journeys and united in aspirations for peace, inclusivity, and a shared future.
An interactive pre-parade
Meet the NDP mascots outside the venue! Arrive early if youâd like to take photos, explore the activities, and choose your seats, as seating is on a free-seating basis.
The parade kicks off with interactive games and quizzes hosted by this yearâs emcees. Keep your clappers ready and donât miss joining in the iconic Kallang Wave!
Parade and Ceremony
- A total of 32 contingents: Six Guard of Honour (GOH) contingents, 10 contingents from uniformed youth organisations and 16 supporting contingents â all representing the six Total Defence pillars and joined by the SAF Colours Party (CP).
- An athlete-led flag relay.
- Expect the majestic State Flag flypast, âFeu De Joieâ rifle salute, and the thunderous 21âgun Presidential Gun Salute. For the first time in NDP history, these guns are stationed on Mobility 3rd Generation (M3G) rafts in the Kallang Basin to bring the experience closer to the public. Four 25-pounder guns on the M3G raft will also sail around and engage spectators along Kallang.
No Red Lions, aerial display or military mobile column
Iconic segments like the Red Lions, aerial displays and military mobile columns are not part of this yearâs indoor show due to safety reasons. Instead, expect a more immersive, concert-style celebration with interactive performances, cutting-edge tech and plenty of memorable moments for the whole fam.
Three NDP songs

This year, there isnât just one but three NDP songs by local artistes: Giants by Iman Fandi, Youâll Be Okay by Jasmine Sokko and Sparkle by Gareth Fernadez and Dru Chen. According to NDP music director Bang Wenfu, having multiple songs caters to different ideas, viewpoints and tastes among the different brackets of society.
Go Beyond: 6 chapters across the parade
- Chapter 1 - Go Beyond Self: kicks off the celebrations with the Parade and Ceremony segment.
- Chapter 2 - Go Beyond The Ordinary: One of the highlights is the Peopleâs Parade, featuring 18 colourful floats celebrating Singaporeans who go beyond in their everyday lives.
- Chapter 3 - Go Beyond Our Size: This honours our roots and maritime history, showing how our nationâs influence reaches far beyond our shores
- Chapter 4 - Go Beyond Time: Parents can take a trip down memory lane, while kids learn about Singaporeâs journey through immersive performances and storytelling. Be taken through Singaporeâs development through the sounds, shows, and campaigns since independence, with a nostalgic walk down the history of television from its black-and-white origins to iconic homegrown productions â yes, through a larger-than-life old school TV!
- Chapter 5 - Go Beyond Our Limits: Expect an aerial performance and NDPâs first-ever indoor drone show that conveys resilience and looks forward to a shared future.
- Chapter 6 - Go Beyond, Together: Closing of the parade with the unifying power of sports as a metaphor to reflect overcoming challenges, resilience, and teamwork. Then, the audience is invited to take the Singapore Pledge and sing the National Anthem, supported by The Peopleâs Choir, made up of 61 volunteer performers from all walks of life.
More interactive elements
Your LED wristband synchronises with the performances â watch as the crowd transforms into a canvas of synchronised light displays that feature motifs, patterns, and text, adding to the showâs immersive audio-visual experience.
Also keep an eye on the big screen â you might just spot yourself or your family on the Crowd Cam!
Idea: Plan a cute pose ahead just in case youâre caught on camera!
Marvel at the fireworks
One of the highlights everyone looks forward to is, of course, the fireworks. However, do expect that views of the fireworks are also more limited from inside the stadium. Those not attending the NDP at the National Stadium can also watch the fireworks display at these free spots.
