The six-course set dinner kicks off with appetisers like Kabayaki-style freshwater eel, and fatty tuna crowned with luxurious Hokkaido uni and grilled seaweed. Over the weekend of June 14 to 16, Si Chuan Dou Hua at Parkroyal on Beach Road is presenting an exclusive Parents’ Day Menu. Dig into highlights such as Roasted Suckling Pig Platter, Vapour-steamed Quail Soup with Matsutake Mushrooms, Peking Duck, Stir-fried Abalone with Green Pepper and Asparagus. Plus, each diner get to enjoy a complimentary glass of house wine and those with a minimum of four diners will bring home a complimentary organic hamper from Zenxin (worth $68).

On top of its usual semi-buffet weekend brunch menu, Lion Brewery Co is rolling out a live BBQ station featuring dishes such as Grilled Bratwurst Sausage ($15) with caramelised onion and mustard or a tasty Flaming Grilled Portobello Mushroom Burger ($24) with capsicum and zucchini for vegetarian guests.
Dads can participate in a complimentary Beer Brewing Workshop (12pm to 4pm) to learn the art of brewing. There'll also be a corner set-up showcasing the master brewer’s home brew kit, alongside $10 pints all day on Mountain Lion, Island Lager, and other selected beers.

Aside from its signature Samsui Ginger Chicken, its Parents' Day menu comes packed with belly-warming dishes, from a new umami-packed Chinese Violet Fish Maw Soup with hints of floral fragrance to the Abalone with Braised Vegetables in Whole Pumpkin that's been meticulously cooked for hours. Also new are the Truffle Ee Fu Noodles with Baby Abalone, and the Peach Gum and Honey Pear with Oolong Tea.
