9 Best Food Delivery Services In Singapore To Satisfy Every Craving

Getting food in Singapore is so much easier with these five food delivery websites and apps.

by Atika Lim & Elizabeth Liew  /   May 21, 2019

What foods do you crave for after a long day at the workplace? Whether it’s the welcoming flavours of a fragrant curry over Nasi Biryani or the crunchy goodness of a fried chicken drumstick, nothing sounds more appealing than the convenience of a piping hot meal delivered to your doorstep.

While Honestbee may be ceasing its food delivery services in Singapore, there are plenty more options to keep your cravings at bay. Some of them even offer seasonal discounts and offers to keep your wallet as satisfied as your tummy — music to our ears.

Here, we’ve rounded up nine great choices that deliver a variety of cuisines, from hawker favourites to restaurant fare:

9 Best Food Delivery Services In Singapore To Satisfy Every Craving
1. WhyQ
custom

We love hawker fare as much as the next Singaporean, which is why WhyQ simply cannot be left off this list. Delivering cheap and good food such as Otah-Otah, Hokkien Mee or Chee Cheong Fun, WhyQ eliminates the need to rush out to stalls and queue in the blazing heat during lunchtime.

To order, simply choose a hawker stall, select the time and day of delivery, order your hawker dishes and get ready for your affordable meal to come right to your door step.

As the largest deliverer of hawker cuisines in Singapore, you’ll definitely feel shiok to find plenty of famous stalls on the site (check out the Michelin-starred ones).

2. Foodpanda
custom

A favourite with Singaporeans for their user-friendly app interface and wide range of restaurants, Foodpanda is the go-to delivery app when you need food, stat. Hungry customers can check out restaurants in their vicinity and receive their orders speedily, often within 30 minutes of checkout.

Delivery fees vary between eateries, so we’d recommend ordering with a friend or colleague to split the cost.

3. GrabFood
custom

GrabFood has now combined with the Grab app – so if you’ve got the car-hailing service downloaded on your device, you’ll have no problem ordering food too. In fact, ordering from your favourite restaurants is a great way to earn GrabRewards points (that you can use to redeem more goodies).

The best part? There’s no minimum order on GrabFood, so you can order as much or as little as you want.

4. Deliveroo
custom

Another big player in the food delivery field, Deliveroo’s refined selections include popular eateries such as Poulet, Sushi Tei, P.S. Cafe, and Blu Kouzina amongst many others.

With categories such as ‘Healthy Options’, ‘Comfort Food’, ‘Local Gems’ and ‘Desserts and Sweet Dishes’, users can easily search for and find food they’re interested in and order immediately on the app.

Order food often? Get on Deliveroo’s monthly subscription programme, where you pay S$10.90 a month for unlimited deliveries and no delivery fee.

5. AMGD
custom

Need a quick, fuss-free lunch at the office but hate the idea of consuming high-fat and MSG-laden meals? We recommend trying out AMGD (stands for ‘Ahmahgawd’), who are committed to bringing customers delicious, healthy food daily.

Their lunches are loaded with fruits, vegetables, nuts and other healthy ingredients. This halal-certified brand also offers a wide range of meals from vegetarian, keto, fish, meat, and seafood. They also come up with new menus and seasonal offerings regularly so you won’t get bored. You can buy an ala carte meal or get a meal pass for credits.

6. Grain
custom

For those who find themselves thinking “what to eat?” every day, Grain may be the answer to that ongoing dilemma. Featuring high-quality and nutritious meals, Grain handles both daily meal orders, as well as food catering – which makes for an impressive spread for guests at high teas or seminars.

Individual meals include Thunder Basil Tea Rice and Grain Signature Chicken Rice, and they have intriguing desserts such as Salted Egg Yolk Muah Chee and Cinnamon Churro Waffles.

However, they are the least flexible in this list of delivery options, with a set time slot (lunch from 11am to 1.30pm and dinner from 6pm to 8pm every Monday to Friday) of deliveries. You can pre-order up to five working days in advance and they also have a pick-up option.

7. Kim’s Kitchen
custom

Nothing beats a home-cooked meal, especially one full of fragrant local flavours. On the more traditional end of the food delivery service spectrum is Kim’s Kitchen, which offers tasty tingkats filled with dishes such as Pear and White Fungus Soup in Pork Broth or Steamed Fish with Ginger.

Customers can pick out a package of three dishes and a soup or four dishes, and enjoy a 20-day subscription of lunch or dinner sent directly to their homes (five-day trial available). However, you have to order at least three days in advance.
