Gather your fellow foodies and mark your calendars. The months ofAugust and September look set to be packed with exciting food and drink events that’ll cater to any tastebud, whether you’re an ice cream lover, wine conoisseur or have an insatiable appetite for local fare.
The ice cream wonderland that is the Museum of Ice Cream is opening at Dempsey in just two days. Get ready for nearly 60,000 square feet of pastel hues and installations that nod to the sweet frozen treat, from a pink and yellow Banana Split Forest with 10,000 bananas to a Sprinkle Pool you can dive into.
There’ll even be a Singapore-inspired “Dragon Playground. The experience takes about 60 to 90 minutes to go through, and you’ll be accompanied by #TeamMOIC performers. And when you’re ready to cool off, tuck into five unique ice cream creations.

Wine aficionados, don’t miss this month-long wine festival by the 1-Group, which presents wine tastings, wine dinners, themed pop-ups, and more across nine different 1-Group restaurants. These include the newly opened 1-Atico, 1-Altitude, Alkaff Mansion, Monti, The Riverhouse, Botanico, and more.
Sip your way through bottomless brunches, wine pairing dinners, sundown picnics and rooftop happy hours. Or learn how to pick a wine and understand what goes into a glass of vino with various masterclasses. Of course, you’ll get to bring home a bottle (or 10) from the wine retail pop-ups happening at the likes of Botanico and Atico Lounge, too.

The 28th edition of the Singapore Food Festival (SFF) is back to tantalise your tastebuds this August with a slew of live masterclasses, physical and virtual food tours, workshops and special food bundles and dishes you can have delivered to your doorstep.
Celebrating local cuisine and F&B brands, highlights on its hybrid platform include virtual masterclasses from renowned chefs like chef Bjorn Shen of Artichoke as well as chef Jeremy Gillon of one Michelin-starred restaurant Jag, a digital tour to discover the culinary gems of Little India and Tiong Bahru with host Nikki Muller, and physical kueh-making workshops.

Happening in conjunction with SFF is the Singapore Vegan Festival (SVF), brought to you by organisers EatRoamLive.
Highlights to catch include masterclasses by renowned chefs like two-Michelin starred chef Emmanuel Stroobant and chef Addis Tan owner of plant-based restaurant HRVST Bistro, and the inaugural Food Walking Tours that’ll take you across Little India, Chinatown, Joo Chiat and Katong to uncover culinary delights. There’ll also be panel discussions with various experts, including Miyoko’s Creamery founder Miyoko Schinner, on sustainability, food security and more.
You can also head to Swissotel the Stamford to shop an array of local and international vegan food and lifestyle products like gourmet vegan cheeses, gluten and dairy-free desserts, an dplant-based meats at the SVF Market in the Sky.

You can now look forward to getting your favourite food market grub at Eatbox, which will be making a comeback this September – and it’s back for good with a permanent location.
Organised by the folks behind the wildly popular Artbox Singapore and Shilin Night Market, Eatbox will take over Tekka Place, which is located right next to Rochor MRT. The expansive 9,500 sq ft food hall will house 20 booths and four kiosks with international cuisines and fusion fare.
What to nosh on? Satay Ummi’s take on the beloved nasi lemak, Thai boat noodles in a cup from Thachang Shaker Bar, Vietnamese fare from Hui Mama, and loads more.
There’s a playground entirely devoted to instant noodles coming up in September.
If you have an undying love for instant noodles, get tickets to Slurping Good!, which forms part of the Rochor Experience that also includes Eatbox. The event space will cover two levels, with 13 fun interactive spaces. Think walls splashed with murals, installations as well as entertaining games that are pay tribute to toppings like eggs, meat, greens, seafood and cheese — all those that make a noodle dish taste fab.
