Our island's not short on classes to keep restless young ones busy, from enrichment classes to nature trails, water playgrounds and martial art programmes. But if you're looking for ones you can actually take part in with your kiddo, we've curated a few parent-child classes available across the island. Parent-child classes, The Little Gym

The Little Gym has programmes for parents and their children, and these are specially designed to help develop kids' physical, cognitive, social and emotional skills — and you get to be there each step of the way. There are five classes for young ones of different age groups (four months to three years old).

Family boxing classes, Spartans Boxing Club

Apart from stress relief while taking it out on punching bags and pads, boxing's a great exercise to work on your endurance, motor skills, coordination and reflexes.

Spartans Boxing Club offers both adult and kid classes, but for a little bonding time with the kiddos, you can check out its Family classes (available at selected outlets), too. The beginner-friendly class will take you through the fundamentals of the sport and various punches. You'll also be paired up with your kid to work on boxing drills and movements.

Mums & Bubs classes, Hom Yoga

New mums can sign up for Hom Yoga's Mums & Bubs class, which focuses on healing and strengthening the body postpartum, as well as introducing a special mother and child bond.

You'll focus on strengthening the pelvic floor, abdomen, legs and back as well as opening and relieving tension in the shoulders, necks, and arms. Plus, it's a great way to mingle and connect with other new mums through the shared experience of motherhood. This class is ideal for babies from four weeks to 12 months (or any crawling age).

Hom Yoga also offers kids classes, as well as postnatal and prenatal classes sessions.

Family aerial yoga workshops, Mindful Space

Partner up with your young one to flip, rock and swing at Mindful Space's parent-and-child aerial yoga classes. It has classes for those with kids aged three to six, as well as ones for those with children aged seven to 12.

Why it's great for you: it strengthens the trust between the two of you as you physically support each other on the hammock, and you also get to work on your observation and listening skills together as a team. Each session takes between 45 minutes to one hour.

Mangrove kayaking, Mindful Space

If outdoorsy adventures are more your thing, then give mangrove kayaking at Pulau Ubin a whirl. Suitable for older childen (aged seven to 12), it's a beginner-friendly workshop, and equipment and gear are provided.

Each tour spans four hours, and starts with a spot of open sea kayaking before entering the mangroves. Here, you could spot various wildlife and birds like kingfishers, eagles, egrets and hornbills.

It's priced at $200 for two persons, and $400 for four persons. Ferry transfers between Changi Point Ferry Terminal and Pulau Ubin or vice versa and gratuities are not included. Food and drinks are also not included, with the exception of drinking water.
