Rebecca Lim Shared Where Her Second Kid Was Conceived, And It’s Giving Deja Vu

Local actress Rebecca Lim is pregnant — again.

Let’s just say the news hit us faster than we could deliver our celeb pregnancy predictions for 2026. Earlier in July, Rebecca revealed that she was “actually considering having a number two” during a fireside chat at BMF The Aesthetics People.

Who knew that the bun was already baking in the oven then?!

Fast forward to today (Nov 10), Becks revealed that she is four months pregnant with her second child.

The 39-year-old announced it on Instagram, writing: “We’re going to be a family of four. Feeling so incredibly blessed. Thank you for sharing in our joy. Brb, letting it sink in that Baby M is going to be a big brother.”

Rebecca and her husband, Matthew Webster, also 39, got married three years ago. They have one son, who was born in January 2024.  

Now, just as they are settling into parenthood, baby number two is on the way — and due in May 2025.

It’s a surprise!

According to 8 Days, the pregnancy was completely unplanned. 

The Mediacorp actress told 8 Days: “This wasn’t planned at all. We were very content with one kid already. We did have conversations about whether we were going to extend our family, and if we were going to, it might be a couple of years later.”

Rebecca also shared with 8 Days that, funnily enough, baby number two “was probably conceived during a family trip to England” — the very same country where their first child was made.

Guess it happened sooner than expected. And it’s definitely a blessing. If there’s one thing we know about family planning, it’s this: you can plan all you want, but there’s no such thing as the “perfect time” to have a baby.

Just look at Rebecca: she had projects lined up, including some overseas shoots, that she now has to turn down because they wouldn’t wrap before her baby’s arrival in May.

Vomiting all day err day 

Besides making tough career calls, she’s also been hit with rougher morning sickness this time, plus midnight cravings for kimchi ramyeon, according to CNA Lifestyle. 

It’s been quite the contrast from her first pregnancy, which has led some (okay, us) to wonder if she might be having a girl, since her symptoms are the total opposite this time.

Boy or girl?

As for the baby’s gender, Rebecca’s keeping mum for now — not because she’s being secretive, but because she genuinely doesn’t know yet. “We haven’t opened the envelope,” she told CNA. 

Rebecca admitted that she’s been too busy running after her toddler to even think about a gender reveal party.

“We didn’t have a gender reveal party for the first child, and now, with him around, I don’t think we have the time and energy to plan one. Maybe we’ll do something intimate at home, with just Matthew and myself,” she told CNA.

She’s also confessed that she hasn’t had much time to document this pregnancy. With her first, she took loads of videos. This time? “Only two”.

We get it, Rebecca.

In a sweet twist of fate, her sister is also expecting right now. She’s a few months ahead of Becks, which means the two will be going through pregnancy together once more.
