A study done by the Journal of Sexual Medicine found that on average, women orgasm 62.9 per cent of the time with a familiar partner while men tend to do so 85.1 per cent of the time (based on a sample size of over 2,000 singles).

Similarly, the American Sociological Review have found that, women tend to orgasm about 40 per cent of the time during casual penetrative sex as compared to men, who orgasm about 80 per cent of the time.

While some women require clitoral stimulation to achieve orgasm while having penetrative sex, some sex experts believe that there are other types of orgasms worth trying to achieve instead. One such orgasm is the lesser-known cervical orgasm.

Essentially, unlike the clitoral orgasm that builds before reaching its climax and lasts only a few seconds, a cervical orgasm can last longer.
