This tumeric chicken recipe is so easy, because all you really need to do is get the marinade right. After which, just pop everything into a ziplock bag and wait before tossing it into the oven. Its combination of sweet and savoury will whet the smallest of appetites – simply serve with a warm bowl of rice for a fuss-free meal.
- 4 pieces thigh meat
- 3 tbsp plain yogurt
- 1 tbsp turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
- Dry parsley
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- Olive oil
Put the chicken inside a ziplock bag. Put in the rest of the ingredients, except the olive oil.
Shake the bag well.
Leave it for at least 10 mins.
When ready to eat, heat your oven to 180 C.
Oil your oven tray with a bit of olive oil. Set chicken to roast for 40 mins.
Check on it and coat it with a little bit of olive oil from time to time to ensure browning.
When your chicken is done, you will get a tender juicy texture. Plate and serve.
