Exciting F1 Activities To Get You Pumped Up For The Singapore Grand Prix
Soak up the vibes surrounding one of the buzziest events of the year

With the Formula One Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix right around the bend, our island is shifting into high gear for the annual big race. Ahead of the event, which takes place from Sep 20 to 22, there's a plethora of F1 activities to get yourself into the motorsport spirit. Whether you're looking to try a simulator for a taste of high-speed action, entertain the kids with fun activities, or check out a life-sized Lego race car, there’s something for everyone. We’ve rounded up some of the most exciting F1 activities in Singapore to check out with the fam or with friends.
1. Lego Technic Grand ‘Brix’ Pop-Up Experience (Kid-friendly)

Get up close with a life-sized replica of a Lego Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance model at the Lego Technic Grand ‘Brix’ Pop-Up Experience at Wisma Atria, a tie-up between The Lego Group and the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team.
Crafted from 192,937 Lego bricks over 2,428 hours, it measures 5.1 metres in length and 2.2 metres in width, which is eight times the size of the 42171 Lego Technic Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance set. There's even a real steering wheel made from Lego bricks, complete with rotatable selectors and shifting pedals!
Visitors can also put their racing skills to the test with various interactive stations at the pop-up. Sharpen your reflexes at the Lego Race Training station, or try your hand at designing a custom racing machine that will dominate the Grand Prix at the Lego Car Racing station. Or have a go at replacing tires on a Lego vehicle at the Lego Build for Speed station. The top three fastest players will win the 42165 Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance Pull Back set.

2. SGP: Dare To Be Different at Gallery26
Delve in Singapore's motorsports history, from at Gallery26's SGP: Dare To Be Different exhibition. From its beginnings in 1961 to today, you'll get to discover fun facts, historical insights, the evolution of race routes and the people who brought these exciting events to life. There's even a special showcase of Ferrari F1 cars from Sep 14 to 19.

3. Whizz Wonderland at Wildseed Cafe (Kid-friendly)
Head to Wildseed Cafe at The Alkaff Mansion, The Summerhouse and 1-Flowerhill for a Speed & Splendour High Tea Set ($68++, good for two).
There are activities for the kids too — they can take part in a kids' car race that will take place on Sep 21 and 22 at The Alkaff Mansion. Meanwhile, over at The Summerhouse, there'll also be a Tamiya race track to keep the young ones occupied.

4. The Circuit at 1-Arden's rooftop bar
Also by 1-Group, is The Circuit event, taking place at 1-Arden's rooftop bar. Gear up for a thrilling time with a bird's eye view of the Marina Bay Race Circuit, and take part in an exclusive Race Simulator Experience on Sep 13 and 14 (complimentary play with purchase of any Peroni purchase, on a first-come-first-serve basis). Plus, you'll get to enjoy beats by a live band and DJ, while sipping on race-themed cocktails.

5. Canopy Esplanade

Canopy Esplanade is revving up for the Grand Prix season with a flurry of activities. Join in a walk-about party where you can test your driving skills, enjoy great beer deals, and indulge in street food while soaking in the atmosphere of the F1 Singapore Grand Prix.
On Sep 13, experience the thrill of racing in a Formula 1 vehicle exclusively at Canopy Esplanade as the outlet unveils an Oracle Simulator Race Car. From 5pm to 9pm, take the wheel of a Formula 1 car, push your speed limits, and compete like a true Formula 1 racer.
Throughout the race weekend of Sep 20 to 22, 2024, special zone ticket holders can enjoy various Walkabout Food selections all day long. Quench your thirst with pints of Heineken, Tiger Crystal, and Guinness at just $10 per pint and enjoy street food like the Chicken Burger ($12), Spicy Drumlets with Fries ($10), and Salted Egg Fries ($8).
There'll also be a Spin The Wheel Game for those dining in (min. spend of $220, including 8 pints of Heineken Silver) where you can stand a chance to win cool prizes, like Red Bull merch and pints of Heineken.

6. The Glam Circuit Festival at Kampong Gelam (Kid-friendly)
Come Sep 13, Kampong Gelam will be turned into a festival packed with thrilling activities, from simulator rides and booths to immersive family fun and games. There'll also be a music festival showcasing a eclectic mix of genres and acts from skanking reggae and melodic pop-punk tunes to traditional beats and soulful acoustic hits to keep the party going all day long.

7. Vroom Town (Kid-friendly)
Mini aspiring racers can head to Vroom Town at Marina Square where they can emulate the experience of driving past iconic Singapore landmarks (albeit at a kid-friendly speed). Get the juniors on the race track at the Central Atrium and enjoy an exciting ride for 5 minutes for $7 or spend $30 in the mall to redeem a free 5-minute ride (limited to the first 100 redemptions per day on a first-come-first-served basis), available from Sep 17 to 22, 2024.
Self-driving is allowed for those aged five and above. Parental supervision is required for those under five years old.
