Naomi Campbell Has Welcomed Her Second Child At 53 Years Old
The supermodel had her first child at 50
"It's never too old to become a mum," says Naomi Campbell.
The supermodel is now a mother of two, having just welcomed her second child at the age of 53.
She shared an Instagram photo of her cradling her newborn in her arms, with her two-year-old daughter gently touching their hands. The baby boy is reported to have arrived on June 25, 2023.â
"My little darling, know that you are cherished beyond measure and surrounded by love from the moment you graced us with your presence. A True Gift from God, blessed! Welcome Babyboy," she wrote.â
â
"Itâs never too late to become a mother," the mum-of-two added. â However, it is speculated that she used a surrogate as the supermodel was spotted just over a week ago without a bump at a Louis Vuitton fashion show in Paris.
â
Campbell had her first child, a daughter, in May 2021, and has kept low-key about her private life, having previously shared just a handful of glimpses of her. Her daughter's name is also still yet to be announced.â
The supermodel has revealed that she has no qualms about having a child at an older age.
In an interview with British Vogue in 2022, she expressed her "completely selfless" attitude regarding motherhood and has no issue with the 50-year age gap between her and her daughter, even admitting that she's encouraging her older friends to embrace parenthood as well.
"I'm telling them all, do it! Don't hesitate!" she continued.â
While we're all for Campbell living by her own rules when it comes to motherhood, there are also legitimate pregnancy-related risks when it comes to having a baby at an older age so be sure to make careful considerations and consult a healthcare professional.
