12 National Day-Themed Treats That Will Make You Proud To Be Singaporean

For National Day on Aug 9, eateries around the island are promoting the patriotic spirit by rolling out yummy treats to commemorate Singapore's 54th year of independence and bicentennial. At least 12 places are introducing food - from burgers to bubble tea - that fly the Singapore flag.

The dishes draw inspiration from popular hawker dishes such as chicken rice, ice kacang and chilli crab, and are heavy on favourite local flavours like bandung and gula melaka. Satiate your taste buds as you look through the gallery:
