Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree is located next to the Singapore Zoo, so you'll want to drop off or park at Mandai Wildlife East, if you're taking the shuttle bus, public transport, or driving in.
From there, it’s a short five- to eight-minute walk to the main lobby — a bright, open space with nature-inspired lighting and decor. Cosy seats and tables are scattered throughout, making it a perfect spot to relax while you wait to check in.
Family retreats and elevated Treehouse stays

There are a total of 338 rooms, divided into categories from the Retreat King and Twin rooms (36 sqm) to the Sanctuary guestrooms (36 sqm) that offer nature-inspired decor, and views of the tranquil Upper Seletar Reservoir.
The rooms feature much-welcomed double-sink vanities (no bickering over who uses it first!) and a spacious shower. Credit: The Singapore Women's Weekly
Also, take a closer look at the decor and wallpaper in your rooms — they're thoughtfully designed to mirror the layers of the rainforest, reflecting both the level you’re on and the view outside your window.

For families, check into one of the 72 Family rooms (44 sqm), complete with a balcony and a loft bed for young ones. The only bummer for those with more than one child is that extra beds can't be accommodated, but the loft bed is roomy enough to sleep two younger kids, or one can snuggle up with Mum and Dad on the king-sized bed. Underneath is a lounge area of sorts, complete with bean bags and a small table. Plus, we hear little guests will be treated to special kiddy amenities — a fun extra to make their stay even more memorable!
A baby cot may be requested at no extra charge subject to availability.

If it's a luxe escape you're after, book a stay in a dreamy elevated Treehouse. There are 24 of these, with 12 each in the East and West wings. Designed to resemble a seed pod, each Treehouse comes with perks like a private patio, a king-sized bed, a bathtub, and exclusive access to a nest-inspired pool. All with stellar reservoir vistas, of course.
A little bird told us that the Treehouses in the West wing afford better views of the reservoir. You can thank us later.

There's a Rangers' Club for the kids!

The wildlife parks are a thrill, no doubt, but when you're ready for a break that's not retreating to your hotel room, you'll be glad to know there's an award-winning spa as well as a stunning pool on the rooftop (more on that later). And as for the kids? Don’t worry — there’s a kids' club.
In line with Mandai Reserve's Ranger Buddies Quest programme is the Rangers' Club with wildlife-themed decor. Think toys, books, games, and other activities. There are also restrooms and a nursing room located within. With dedicated staff on hand, you can rest assured your little ones are cared for. At the time of writing, the club’s opening hours have yet to be confirmed.

Beyond the indoor fun, the club also features an outdoor playground, where kids can climb, slide, and let off steam in a nature-inspired setting.

After getting the kids settled at the Rangers' Club, grab some me-time (or we-time with your other half) and head to the sprawling Rooftop Pool for a refreshing dip or a well-earned nap on either half-submerged or regular loungers.
Or treat yourselves to a massage at the award-winning Banyan Tree Spa. With three treatment pods and three indoor treatment rooms, you can look forward to full body massages (choose from Balinese, Deep Tissue or Gentle Touch) and detoxifying body wraps, which use natural aromatic oils, herbs, and spices.
Dining options at Mandai Rainforest Resort

There are two dining outfits within the resort. For breakfast and dinner buffet, head to all-day dining destination Planter's Shed, which doles out international and local cuisine, alongside live stations, and roving tableside service. Swing by for lunch, and you can pick from an a la carte menu. One end of the restaurant has a kid-friendly corner with pint-sized tables and chairs, while the other features a pool table.

And for something a little more upscale, make your way to speciality restaurant Forage. Here, it goes by a 'Trust the Chef' menu (like an omakase of sorts), spotlighting freshly sourced ingredients, and produce from the Edible Garden on the rooftop. It's also where the Discovery Forest, a scenic boardwalk surrounded by lush greenery, is located if you're up for a post-meal stroll.
