Best Tearjerking Video: "We Almost Walked Away" Ft. SGAG's Adrian Ang & His Wife Goh Xin Lei

Usually the king of punchlines and dad jokes, SGAG’s Xiao Ming (Adrian Ang) left everyone speechless — and a little teary-eyed — in our Valentine’s Day special. No one expected to see him get so real and vulnerable, but wow, what a plot twist.
In an emotional heart-to-heart with his wife, Goh Xin Lei, Adrian opened up about the real struggles behind their picture-perfect marriage: fertility challenges, miscarriages, and the balancing act of parenthood. The headphones challenge meant he couldn’t hear her answers, but he could see every tear and every smile — which made the whole thing even more moving.
By the time Adrian’s voice cracked and Xin Lei’s eyes filled with tears, we were all reaching for the tissues. Who knew the guy who makes us laugh till we cry could make us cry for real? If you missed it, trust us: this is one viral moment that proves even the funniest people have the biggest hearts.
Biggest Baby News: Amotti’s soon to be a Dad
Ever since his appearance in Physical: 100, Amotti’s popularity has skyrocketed, winning hearts (ours included) with his sunny smile and insane physicality. Then, earlier this year, he had everyone’s eyes on him again when he joined Physical: Asia, as part of Team Korea.
And when he broke the news that he’s becoming a Dad through a vlog (a subtle mention, but it didn’t escape us!), the Internet went wild, from congratulatory messages to ones declaring their broken hearts.
Soon after, he dropped another update — the gender reveal. In a playful video, he’s shown eating ice cream, which reveals a hint of blue. But alas, it’s a prank. The real moment came when he and his wife popped a balloon, releasing a burst of pink confetti: It’s a girl.
Best Baby Manifestation: Rebecca Lim
Speaking of baby news, Rebecca Lim totally threw us a curveball when she announced that she was pregnant with baby number two!
Back in July, she’d shared that she was “actually considering having a number two” during a fireside chat at BMF The Aesthetics People. Turns out… the bun was already in the oven then. Sneaky!
Fast forward to Nov 10, the 39-year-old then revealed that she’s four months along with her second child. She announced it on Instagram, writing: “We’re going to be a family of four. Feeling so incredibly blessed. Thank you for sharing in our joy. Brb, letting it sink in that Baby M is going to be a big brother.” She is married to Matthew Webster, and they have a son, who turns two in Jan 2026.
According to Becks, the pregnancy was completely unplanned, and the baby was likely conceived at the same place that their first child was. Read more about it here.
The I’m-Not-Super Super Mum Award: Lina Ng
Actress Lina Ng shared the exciting news of her 19-year-old son Joel’s acceptance into the prestigious Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore (NUS) on Instagram, and unsurprisingly, comments and reactions came pouring in, from congratulations to expressions of awe. She also shared a video of Joel draping his white coat over his mum’s shoulders, fulfilling her childhood dream of becoming a doctor for a few precious moments. Awww.
Besides Joel, her eldest son Jeriel, 21, was also her source of pride during his OCS commissioning day in March 2024. He’s currently studying business at NUS and working as a financial advisor. Meanwhile, her youngest son, 14-year-old Samuel, is in Secondary Two and carving out his own path.
It’s clear that the achievements of her elder sons have got everyone talking. While success comes in many forms and life isn’t solely about academics, it’s hard not to wonder: how does Lina raise children who dream big — and actually achieve those dreams?
She opens up about Joel’s academic journey, her self-confessed “authoritative parenting” during her boys’ younger years, and how her background in early childhood education shaped her approach. Read here.
Most Inspiring Vibes: Daryl Dee Chan — “I Got Married At 50”
Dating and finding love later in life isn’t a topic that gets brought up often, so it’s inspiring and refreshing to hear Gen X-er Daryl Dee speak candidly about her experience. “Nobody talks about dating in their middle age. How do you even start? Where do you begin?” says Daryl Dee, who got married at 50 after meeting her husband on a dating app.
Dee reflects on how she never really searched for love in her younger days. And when she tried looking for a life partner in her 40s, it felt arduous — especially with the unpredictability of online dating. Just when she was about to give up, she met her Mr Right.

The You Do You Award: Our SG60 Fomo (Family Of My Own) Series
What does being a young family in Singapore look like? To mark Singapore’s 60th birthday, our SG60 Fomo series shines a spotlight on young families who are marching to their own beat and redefining the Singapore family dream, from a mum who started a family at a young age to first-time foster parents, and parents who encourage their children to be independent from a young age. Most Rage-baity Talkshow: Two Tired Mums Ft. Estelle Low & Jill Lim

Co-host Jill Lim spilled the ultimate tea in and sparked plenty of conversation in Episode 1 of Two Tired Mums by The Singapore Women’s Weekly — and for good reason.
In one segment, Jill opened up about the real costs of prenatal care, such as checkups and scans, sharing that she had covered them all by herself. Her honesty drew a wide range of reactions on social media — from surprise to debate. In another episode focused on first-time mum fails, she candidly recalled a stressful family trip with her young kid, highlighting the clashing expectations that often arise in new parenthood. Once again, the internet had opinions.
While these videos did receive online bashing for *some* things that were said, many others expressed appreciation for their unfiltered take on motherhood. For the non-parents, it opened their eyes to the unseen parts of parenthood. For the parents, it was a solid show of solidarity – Two Tired Mums helped them feel less alone. More human. And for that, we are glad.
Rising Star Award: Ivory Chia
We knew there was something about Ivory Chia after watching the child actress’s stellar performance as the younger version of Tasha Low’s Xinniang, a sassy, sharp-tongued street urchin, in Emerald Hill.
Since then, her star has shone brighter, with the nine-year-old going on to bag the Best Actress In A Supporting Role award at the Asian Academy Creative Awards earlier this month for her role, edging out nominees such as Hong Kong star Yoyo Chen and Oscar winner Youn Yuh-jung.
Not only that, but she’s also made history by being the youngest actor to win at the awards. Talk about a breakout moment. Here’s what else to know about Ivory Chia, from her list of credits to her academic achievements.
Most Lovable Celeb Parents: Evelyn Tan & Darren Lim
Evelyn Tan and Darren Lim are the ultimate parenting goals — and not just because they once lived on a yacht with their four kids. Married for over 20 years, this power couple has navigated everything from public scrutiny and career changes to homeschooling, dyslexia diagnoses, and raising independent, kind-hearted children.
They’ve weathered tough beginnings (Evelyn’s parents were not Darren’s biggest fans at first), but together they built a family grounded in shared values, mutual respect, and a sense of adventure. Evelyn left a rising showbiz career to become a stay-at-home mum and homeschooler, even upskilling herself to better support her kids through learning challenges. Darren, meanwhile, is the hands-on dad who’s just as likely to be found at a charity walk as he is building Lego masterpieces or supporting Evelyn’s return to acting.
Their parenting style is all about balance: Evelyn is the careful planner, Darren the experience-seeker. They encourage their children to pursue their passions, set boundaries with empathy, and believe in letting their kids learn from mistakes. And when it comes to giving back, the whole family gets involved — four generations once turned up for a charity walk to support Darren’s grandfather.
Whether they’re homeschooling on land or world-schooling at sea, Evelyn and Darren prove that love, teamwork, and a willingness to grow together are what really make a family shine. If there’s an award for Most Lovable Celeb Parents, these two have already sailed away with it.
